I know this video is 3 months old, but I really needed this today. I'm not unemployed, but I am freelance and often deal with crippling anxiety about job security. I always feel like my skills are subpar and that it's only a matter of days until I'm jobless. And personally, the idea of working in an office or retail again makes me feel sick. I've never been able to handle working anything other than freelance for any extended period of time. This video reminded me, though, that you can always look up, even when pursuing a job outside of the norm is terrifying. You've got this! Lots of love from your freelancer friends!

Wow this is so relatable! I almost didnt go to college bc i saw others fail and beleived i would be the same. I didnt believe that i had it in me to pursue higher education and thought i wasnt "smart enough." Luckily i had people around me who recognized my worth more than i did at that time. I completed college and now i have a job that i love, making a real difference in kid's lives. I marvel at how much i would have lost out on if i had listened to all that negativity i was telling myself.... Keep on going for it Batsheva!

My unemployment time I would spend reading, learning, and exercising physically. Self-improvement nonstop when not employed.

I have been unemployed since 2020. covid-19 has affected my mental health and would occasionally have seizures and I was attending college. I needed a huge break but I will find a job hopefully around the end 0f 2023.

I've been laid off 3 times in the past 4 years. Best advice is EVERY job is temporary and make the best of your career. Update your resume every 6 months and also enjoy the journey of life

The idea that in life and cant try without there being repercussions is all in your head, you apply for harvard, you get turned down and you now have a good idea that you arent at the level to be accepted into harvard yet. You didnt die, you didnt get hit, or distorted in any way. Rather, if you choose to not try, your health and fatigue will slowly destroy your youth and your life for years to come, until you either put an end to it, or are crushed by it inevitably. It's far easier to, work part time and try to make youtube happen, maybe even move if you have to, send out a million applications and a million room requests, do it while you have the time to. Because the brick wall that we all have to meet sooner or later is coming, when our health starts to fail, unless we can get to a stable enough point before 30ish. Everyone has potential for an idea, we're in an era where you get paid to be creative especially us, because we're americans, the healthiest and free'st so we have the most nuance brains. But nobody will listen to common sense, if you have a weak body, you wont have the strength to stand up in the morning on hard days. Nobody works out, nobody tries, everyone is afraid of judgment or failure. But death is way worse than blurting the wrong answer out in-front of a group of people, even a million people. Death is the end. A mistake/attempt can be overwritten the following millisecond as long as theres no obvious risk of injury.

I'm not sure if I'd go to work for vogue even if they'd literally contact me and offer like a milion a year... well, maybe for an asian one, if I could stay anonymous... 🤔. you so don't seem to me to fit to 4 ex. vogue that it'd be difficult to subscribe... but, well, good luck in the subject.
