So good to go on a school like this I’m jealous ! In Greece the school is only class then you’re going back home and the evening track train with the bus alone

Do you have any tips for someone who is training to be a High school cross country runner. (I've also had experience with track throughout middle school too).
@jennaclayworth39754 жыл бұрын
Riana Johnson yes definitely! My first tip would be to have fun with it because if you are not enjoying running it can be very challenging mentally. As for training, I would focus on quality over quantity while you are still relatively young. Don’t feel like you have to run a bunch of miles because if you do you are more likely to burn out. I didn’t even run 40 miles my senior year of high school! I stuck to one longer run a week, and two quality workouts (km repeats, hills, tempos, hard reps). Then in between I just did really easy 30-35 mins runs so I was recovered! Focus on easy days easy and hard days hard!

Is it possible to go d1 if you just started doing sports ur senior year?
@maricelafeijoo71893 жыл бұрын
by doing sports i mean competing with other schools. i was always into running but my old school didn’t have a track team
@jennaclayworth39753 жыл бұрын
Maricela Feijoo I think there is always a possibility! If you train really hard and you are competitive at meets there will probably be schools out there for you!

I'm from Europe and I'm not familiar with miles so I just typed it into a Google converter and gasped. Like what gurl, that's my weekly mileage. Ya know what, I'm going to stick to sprinting 😩
