Here is the link to my interview with Jamey over on his channel. Let me know what you think about how I did 😅 🫣 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q5pzdMuetcDGopc.htmlsi=szp998rBEUpEgb9i

Great interview with Jamey. Did he provide the questions before hand since you were great with your answers? I'm guessing a flood of subscribers are coming!

@@denisgiles yes we went over the questions beforehand thankfully! 😅 So I had time to prepare and gather my thoughts. Yes there was a big jump in subs for sure 🎉 👋

I haven't followed the channel lately but glad this came up on my feed to remind me about this cool board gaming channel. Learned something helpful with the tip on the book for fundraising games. Super impressed you basically printed a playable game in just over two hours, I would not be that efficient. Clearly you've done this before!

Welcome back, Daniel! And yes I’m getting much faster at prototyping, and the time challenge definitely helps to keep me moving :) The cards were pretty tiny but they were functional enough for the playtest. I got the feedback I needed so that’s great. Thanks for watching 🙌

Though you looked nervous here, the interview went really well! You were very smooth and professional. Great job! Sorry about Blob Party. I see you having even more success in the future! Vancouver looks beautiful! We are so excited to be there in September. We fly in on the the 23rd. Was that the Sea wall? That looks like a fun area to bike. Anyway... talk to ya later. Great video!

I enjoyed watching your interview with Jamey. It’s one of the better ones I’ve seen on his channel. I’m playing around with game design and absolutely would never want to run a kickstarter campaign. I’d be a nervous wreck worrying about all the logistical and technical things, and it would totally rob the fun of designing a game.

Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I’m with you that running a kickstarter would be way too stressful!!

Thanks so much Wayne! Yeah it’s good to force yourself to slow your brain down for a bit and take a break from thinking about a million things at once! And us game designers are usually big overthinkers 😆

What a day! I need to improve my time management with my day job and everything. Definitely waste too much time on the mindless phone scrolling
@PamWallsGameDesign
@PamWallsGameDesign Ай бұрын
It’s SO hard to do everything with a day job!! Especially one that requires a lot of mental capacity. And scrolling gives you a nice break from having to think 😅 But I need to cut back too, it can be a real time suck, like HOURS can go by and you’re just like “what happened…?”

As an avid follower of your game design insights, I would like to thank you again and again for sharing your commitment and your enthusiasm. After the last publisher rejection - sorry for this😢- could you comment on how you see publishing games with a certain IP in mind, but without the "protected" part? Many independent projects create own franchises slightly reminiscent of what they have in mind - Sentinels of Multiverse did that in the beginning, for example.

Thanks so much for watching and for your support! I would definitely be wary of making a game that is clearly referencing an IP without actually naming it. Some companies are very proprietary of their brands and could sue which would not be good at all :(

What kind of cutter are you using? It looks way safer and more accurate than a guillotine cutter. Would you recommend the one you have? I currently a rotary cutter most of the time, but I can't always cut as straight as I'd like. 😕

Will you be reviewing other games on your channel as well?
@PamWallsGameDesign
@PamWallsGameDesign Ай бұрын
Nah, there are enough review channels already, and I’m not a big fan of critiquing published games online since negative reviews can have major impacts on a game’s success and I wouldn’t want to be a reason that a game doesn’t do well.
