Hey Allison! Great video! I don't mean to be intrusive but what are you planning on doing after graduating grad school? Do you plan to work in Japan? I'm trying to see whether or not I should get my graduate degree in Japanese or not. I plan on working in Japan after in a Japanese company. Also did you have to take the EJU? What was the entrance exam like? Did you have to take subjects on the exam that had nothing to do with your major? Sorry for all the questions lol. Dylan,

Hii! Yes, I'm planning on working in Japan (not sure how long, but at least a few years). Actually my video next week will be about why I decided to go to grad school here! 😂 And no, the only exam score I needed was a GRE! The EJU is for if you plan on studying in Japanese, I think. You definitely don't need it for English-language graduate programs (that I've ever heard of!). I have another video on my channel about the application process if you want to learn more!! It was very similar to American applications!

Good Job! I'd like to ask if you are still teaching in the JET programme while doing gradschool?

I’ve known JETs who do online masters degrees while teaching! But I believe it is impossible to do a grad program in person while on JET. I currently teach part time :)

I have a friend that taught English for 3 years in Japan a d ge told after coming back to America that he hated it living there! I think you will be better off finding a job in your country and not go to the Japan.
