It's actually a nice little system they are trying out at the moment, after all they have to make sure it's not something that will break PvP

This is just a test map. The Devs want to see what UE5 is capable of involving water as one of the new dragons in 1.1 is very tied to it.

Actually the ocean was not performance heavy at all and with the portal system separating the different biomes you shouldn't have a problem finding the maps that work for you.

If you are afraid of ocean, you can play without going in it, there will be a lot of lands ♡

The bio dragon can get out of the water without having to swim to shore?

Yup! It can jump and start hovering from the surface! The Singe crest will also have a water take off
