I got the original gold dalek from the collectors set 2 and i enjoy the special edition of day of the daleks

I actually recreated Planet of the Daleks with the lead Dalek who is exterminated by the Supreme Council Dalek as the Gold Dalek. Who in my opinion is the Taskforce Commander Dalek.

Does anyone know why the pupils were added? Like originally in the previous story? Personally I think they look better without it
