The beeping is a gps locator from your team. You do need a shovel to dig up that single buried site, you need the rebreather and the rope gun from caves before you can get the shovel in another cave. There's a bug that after you collect the locators, when you next load in, they can respawn. I've had that happen multiple times. The green markers are bunkers that the 'crew' worked in. They have special items, some that you need for the story. As for the questions marks, eat the berry or mushroom and it will turn red if it's bad and green if its good. Great video, love your work!

You're too pushy with Virginia. The trick is to let her come to you and don't chase her. See how she was telling you with her hands to stay back?. That means "STOP FOLLOWING ME!!" just let her come to you when she's ready, she'll bring you a gift, that means you are now friends.

Yeah he is chasing her way too much. You need to stay still without any weapon equipped and wait to gain her trust.

When having him fish for you I found it's hard to have him bring the fish to you for some reason he doesn't seem to do it. It's best to tell him to drop them here and then stand back and watch him go to town. You may not see fish in the water but he will definitely catch him for you.

There’s a raft u can swim to just off that beach that contains a pistol and ammo. There are sharks and it doesn’t seem like you can make it but you can

You should propably burn bodys for bones. And make bone armour. And also make a bridge to that Island and get kelvin there and take the half wooden plank off so enemy don't come on the island. You can always rejoin the bridge

Played for a few hours last night. My starting position was half way up the mountain in the snow. Bot loving it so far - it's a beautiful world. And scary too. The cannibals haven't been a problem yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they start attacking.

Put sticks in the ground, then sharpen them with the axe. this will allow you to make spear walls around your campsite. secure the sticks with stones on the ground after sharpening them, to make them impossible to knock down. Combine this with a half wall of logs, and you have a solid defense against most cannibals and bushcrawlers.

I just had Virginia use the pistol I gave her and save my butt during a combined mutant and cannibal attack. It was awesome to see. A lot of her shots went wide but she took out one right behind me. It was her first time shooting though xD P.S. you can build some posts a little out to the sea for your home and they can't get to it.

The purple markers are bunker you need to find the shovel to dig them up. There's only one hatchet found in a cave that you can get into.

They need an "eat max" on the berries. I think people can say any sequel is just a clone of the first game, but there is also the saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There are clearly many upgrades to this game relative to the original. Graphics, new building mechanics, new story, a partner AI, friendly AIs, etc.

I have a laptop only, mean it's an MSI light duty gaming laptop but still. Oddly enough I find that it plays Sons of the Forest a lot easier and better than The Forest. That said overall I love the game, but there are some things I wish they add with updates. Like item hotkeys so I don't have to go into my inventory every time I want to change weapons or tools.

Okay so that cave right near your base on the beach… you MUST go exploring deeper! There are a couple zombie things but at this point you are very well equipped! And wow let me tell you. It is sooo worth it! I don’t want to spoil it but pleaseeeee just go!

The question marks show up until you eat the item so you’ll know if it’s okay to eat or bad to eat :)

I just got her to like me. Pretty much just did my own thing and put away any weapon when I noticed her. Next thing I know she's bringing me stuff with a little giggle and leading me to neat things like the Stun Baton. Now she pretty much follows me everywhere, put a gps mark on her so when we get separated, I can easily find her. She's great!

You need to get the rope gun rebreather and air tank then you can get the shovel then the key cards there is a lot of awesome stuff inside the facility all three card are close to the place you picked for your base

That red sign means the log is broken and you need to be using repair tool to repair it and then you can place other log. Though that beach area aren’t really any good yo build on. Inland rivers have better spots for building and getting much more food. I don’t think that fishtraps work yet. Oh and you missed getting rope gun from first spawn area cave..without that you can’t get the rebreather and then the shovel to dig up the shotgun..

You have to sneak up on her and hold e to open the food menu, feeding her or even opening the menu will prompt her to interact with you and bring you gifts.

it takes about 7-8 times seeing her before she will join you do not chase her just get close once she runs then go about your routine, alos the marker in the ocean is where the 9mm pistol is be careful to shark after you get pistol lol... I like this better than the infected...

Calvin can fish near freshwater sources such as rivers and lakes and ponds. He can't fish from the ocean. The option will, appear near fresh water only.

I believe the log you are having trouble with is damaged (you chopped into it a long time ago). Unless you can repair it, replace it? I don't think you can build on to items that are damaged. Someone may have already covered this.

Just letting you know when the girl comes around you can’t move you have to stay still so she can get used to you it will take a few time before she trust you but as long as you don’t move when you see here she well get used to you

7:14 she's literally asking you to stay back... stop rushing. Gamedge please. Take time. Dont run. Don't rush. Just learn to observe. Properly look at your surroundings too xD 17:23 i mean yes and no. The forest legit could be any forest. There's no excuse here, they definitely could have gone for a different island or something. But i do have to say, that the ending of 1st game clearly pointed out that little timmy was hellbent on going to the forest his dad was at. What would be nice is if they changed the map. Not just different villages, but different cave systems, while old ones got collapsed. Or maybe old ones leading to new ones. Even a earthquake causing a big crack to appear, like nature oriented events having caused major changes to the topography 28:00 are you real? How does this place says or feel "safe"? XD you played the first game. You should know they're full of mutants 30:00 so what if you get hurt? Not like it would insta kill you. Silly man.

Do you have to give her ammo? I got the forest start not far from the 3d printer and the Pistol but I haven't done much exploring so I got the gun just don't have a lot of ammo for it. Got Virginia and love her. She keeps bringing me things and leading me to stuff like the Stun Baton.

You get skin pouches from the natives. I'm not sure why the traps don't work, but Kelvin is a fishing machine. No, you don't chase her. Why are people already hating on this game. The second game takes place in the same area as the first, just on a different side of the island. They were just hiding in the bush like that or were they covering themselves and pretending to be bushes? They can be annoying I see. Is there anyway to train them?

Wait... People are complaining because the sequel to The Forest plays much the same as The Forest? If it played completely differently to The Forest, it wouldn't be a sequel to The Forest. It would be something entirely different to The Forest. And therefore not called The Forest, or any play on the words The Forest.
