Why can i only hit the heart on this comment once???? :( :( :( duuuude. you actually tried to play Healer?? mad respect for trying!! I only try songs that don't require doublehanded hatting LOL!! This would be a frickin long list if i wrote all my fave Dowoon drum parts... but except for Healer, all the songs you wrote would be on there - esp TOOL! I'm actually working on Part 2 and there are 2 songs that I analyze there that are some of my fave DW drumparts.

I watched Drumming Joong's cover of Healer so many times because I want to do a cover of it as well (but since I only play drums at a studio because I dont own one myself, I cant practice regularly). The challenging part for me in that song, is the bouncing hats (or whatever that technique is called) just like the one in Freely, which I am not used to and I find that technique impressive. And yeah, looking forward for part 2

My rusty self is not nearly close to being in the shape necessary to play it 😬😢 I don’t listen to Healer a lot (cuz I’m not crazy about the disco feel) so I never noticed the interesting hat-technique after the first verse! Holy crap! Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!! 🤚

cherijuu dowoon needs to be hyped - absolutely!! Btw, they all do. Youngk learned bass bec he had to but dear Gd, he is a FANTASTIC bassist (and guitarist, and singer and mouth trumpet player etc etc etc). Each boy really is not just a GENIUS vocalist, but also amazing at their instrument. JYP deserves credit just for noticing that these boys are CRAZY talented 🥺❤️

Hi! I would LOVE to make another Dowoon video. Just a matter of having time and the inspiration, like noticing how he's changed as a drummer. If that happens - you got it! @@elsietong7664 that is a GREAT playlist! yep, a lot of the difficulty is covid related and music has been such an incredible resource to help get through everything :) drumming can be SO frustrating and requires a lot of patience, but if you stick to it, one day you see all that effort paying off. i think the best advice for how to get better as a drummer is to practice by playing along to your favourite albums/songs. obv practicing rudiments is important but getting your accuracy down should be done in a way where you're also enjoying it. also, try expanding your creativity - within a certain song, would you have done the drumfill differently? don't be afraid to experiment :) re: editing - ha, i'm so basic, i have nothing to recommend LOL! thanks for all the positivity and back atcha!
