The Sultana says farewell to the palace. Dark clouds rise on Topkapı Palace. Will Mahidevran take over the management of harem completely? Will Hurrem prevent Mahidevran rising? Will Daye come over her guilty feelings for the Sultana? Will Sultana Hatice find out about Ibrahim's affair?
Sultana's death causes the whole empire to grieve in the palace. Everyone in the royal family wears black. The Sultana says farewell to the palace with a glorious ceremony. Sultan Suleiman's grief doesn't fade away on the contrary it was thought. Mahidevran takes over the management of harem completely after the Sultana. Mahidevran even has her eye on the Sultana's suite. However, she doesn't realize she strengthen Hurrem's hand.
Daye is one of the people who grives much for the Sultana's death. She doesn't want to stay at the harem after her death. She tries to build herself a life outside of the palace. However, her guilty feeling follow her everywhere.
Nigar lives under the custody of Gulsah. However, she manages to run away at the first chance.
Hatice goes back to her own palace after the Sultana' died. Hurrem wants to visit her without losing time. Hatice's life turns upside down with the letter she finds.
Delay of the decision about Figani causes a problem. Meanwhile, Ibrahim knows that Figani is his only chance to get to The Master. He personally takes care of his interrogation.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.
