That game is looking awesome! ❤, I played Daymare 1998, loved the the details and care they put on that game, i will be missing the old D.I.D. HUD and the ammo micro management, it was a cool choice to add tension and awareness with the inventory to the player, i also played the older Daymare 1994 demo last year i think, it looks a whole lot better and the sound design its pretty accurate, it will be a must buy for me.

There are a lot of anachronisms in this game so far. The computers and the little wrist mounted communicator would have been too advanced for even 2004, nevermind 1994. The guns don't seem right either.

Agreed. I can ignore little anachronisms like a song that didn't exist in 1994. But these games have A LOT of big things going wrong.

Dang, it looks really good! I was a bit concerned considering Daymare had a 2022 release date, with near radio silence regarding the delay and release window, but this has more then made up for that. The "zombies" really make me think of the husks from Mass Effect. I wonder if that was the base for them? Plus the dark and claustrophobic atmosphere really helps set the tone. Only issue I can see is not being able to pause the game or access the inventory from the pause menu. That was a problem Daymare '98 had, and I was really hoping they had changed that. Are you planning on streaming this when it comes out?

It seems like it's a massive improvement over the last one. A lot less jank to it. Really seems like they took the criticisms of the first one to heart, and improved upon the areas people didn't like.

If you haven’t already and don’t own/can’t afford a pc, please buy the console port of the first game. The game is no RE 2/3/4 remake but if you enjoy survival horror, you will enjoy the first game. Support these devs, they’re underrated.

Looks good, the studio really have improved during this few years, the only thing that i didnt like it was the fact that this time we will be playing with only one character, but is a minor detail, august 30 will be interesting

I've been hanging for more info on this, I didn't mind this game, the OG one D'98 I felt needed a performance consistency update, still very enjoyable for a small dev team, hope this comes with a collector's pack and I'd absolutely love if its soundtracks came out on Vinyl, that'll be an awesome noooice touch for its Nostolgic aim of early 90's horror games, Thanks for this JJ and Friends, have an awesome day 😎

Have they done anything with D98? I bought it at release and I tried to stick with it but it was pretty rough. I’m an OG RE fan from the 90’s too, so I was looking forward to it and was ultimately let down.

@@thechicagobox I definitely felt the passion n love put into it, the voice acting is incredibly cheesy but I loved that campyness about it, game could still use a further consistency patch, I'm kinda hoping when D'94 is released D'98 might get n update or something, or they could release a Physical Double Pack - Enhanced edition or something like that, that'll be sweet especially with a nicer cleaned up version of D'98, I def admire the passion behind it and knowing it was Paul Haddad's final game (OG Resi 2 Leon) that guy was awesome and will be missed heaps in the Resi community

@@thechicagobox there have been updates, but wouldn't hurt if they added further patches, a casual difficulty mode was added so you just focus on gunplay n less on the puzzle side of things, if anything it makes the game easier to approach n enjoy, but there's reasonable options to choose how you want to play it, but yeah few more patches would be good for the game

The electrical impulses drank mating dead bodies is very unique. Unfortunately these zombies are too fast. They're like Zoom in The Flash.

Only thing I hope they can improve on before release would be the blood and gore. Feels a bit weak in its current state, especially for a horror title.

I like it.👍 It definitely looks improved compared to Daymare 1998. I like the facial expressions on the playable main character. That has improved. For the monster cheeks. The only issues I've seen that needs more polish is in the cutscene at 26:25. I noticed the lip syncing goes off from time to time. The main character Reyes has a good face model and expressions but the other guy Radek his face model and expressions still need more time to polish. This could be in other places in the game that may need more polishing. I remember that was a big criticism of the last game was the facial expressions.

wow they really refined a lot of their vision, even the messages have that exact new era RE feel, so much cleanly designed, VA work heavily improved that cassette on the soldiers dying, that man could act "WHAT THE FU- IS THAT" so good

First game is good. Just make sure you do your homework a little to make sure you set it up right as far as the options. You can't change anything after you start. They cater to preferences kinda like Eternal Evil does.

The last boss is probably the toughest survival horror boss in existence. I think other than that the game is a good time, a tad clunky but way more polished than RE3 remake.

@@logiclunacy606 I had to start the campaign all over again and show up more prepared for the fight while also exploiting the upgrade box glitch. The dodge in that game is completely broken. Like bad. Its achievable in normal enemy encounters but against that boss and others it feels like the game only allows you to pull it off half the time.

only inaccuracy is the equipment on the dead bodies. They didn't have those kinds of tops or the FAST helmets they're wearing. Looks solid though

My father is a welder/fabricator with a machine shop, and one thing that impressed me was the machines present. I saw mills and a lathe outside of the ship, and a double-side grinder right inside. Only thing that's odd is everything seems pretty modern if it's supposed to be 1994. He just entered the ship as of my writing this, but my theory is that it's the USS Eldridge of the Philadelphia Experiment.

the first letter in this demo is dated 1994 from Dept of Homeland Security which didn't exist until 2003, so there's definitely something weird going on

nice. looks great so far ROE, i was bit disappointed D98, 1st half was good but the rest felt boring to the point where i didn't finish. this got me more interested & set in Groom Lake AREA 51 yes!. Also I think "Golgotha" was the original name for the G-Virus.

Sandcastle is like a mix of the classic RE with Dead Space, very interesting. I think the devs of Echoes of the Living should take notes about how to make a RE-inspired game without plagiarising the source material.

They really just need more effects (the first enemy cutscene is underwhelming), some recoil and to me this is just an extremely good AA quality game. Polish, namely. Unsure about the content but the base is almost there

Is this coming to consoles? I bought the original on day one. When I tried to read any files in game they were blank. Have a link to a webpage to read them. That didn’t work. I gave up on it. After a patch or two I went back and loved it. Been waiting for this. Hope it’s coming to ps5.

All consoles except nintendo tablet unlikely the original Daymare was closer to the 90s Resident Evil in terms of gameplay / style not the modern ones

I just wanna give the studio props for a few reasons: 1. Not only do they accept criticism, they welcome it. 2. While it is not an established AAA title, they make a true effort to improve the aspects the fans care about. 3. They are passionate about expanding the lore in interesting ways and pay homage to classics, while avoiding being a copycat.

it was resident evil remake but the dev refused to continue and so the game was changed into this daymare i remember that still to this day.. this is was fanmade resident evil but the dev didn't want his project into dmca ceased for real. and the game changed full into this game daymare 1994.

The game looks promising, but I think that the weapons need more love: The cartridge ejection animations feel off and the MP5 feels like a total peashooter. The shotgun looks fine, though.

Can't believe Daymare have improve animation, voice act, and gameplay except for combat quite clunky but :O Thats Developers improvement right there!! They improve than the last game. Can't wait once fully release

Not at all happy they have removed the first games ui and reloading. Its way more polished looks great enemys are still boring. but i like the original whisp orbs ideas over all its a better looking game. Theres a lot of re2 remake and dead space influence coming though still lovin the xfiles knods
