dear Hosts of the view; great news; you will love this! President Biden Veto-ed a bill recently which now allows democrats to seize your pensions! Isn't that wonderful! Your hard work will now pay off for new windmills and solar panels from China! So what if it is illegal, that is what being a radical communist Democrat is all about! It's call democracy! Come on View, say his name!

When I was a child, my father instilled in me the importance of paying yourself. He said that after paying your bills and only have 5¢ left to put away, do it. It'll grow. I've followed dad's advice throughout my life. Best advice ever.

Money management is definitely one of the most important skills in this world to have that not everyone learns about. It can get people in a lot of trouble.

Money gives security & peace of mind, so that you don't have to live paycheck to paycheck or worry about how to pay for something in case of emergency. Money is also a path to a better life.

That is right. It 💯 works. Something basic my parents taught me, and I grew up on a farm.

I wish more people from farms would share how household and farm finances work! Many small businesses/families/single people could learn from these long standing traditions. Everything I know about being fiscally astute came from my grandparents who grew up in farming communities.

Children are not too young to learn about money management. I am trying to go back to school to become an early childhood educator. I used to work as a mentor.

It may be generational, but the previous generations didn't leave us with much. Millennials can't save and get z showed us we need work life balance. I will do the bare minimum to take back my time and life.

Over the past couple of years, I have wrangled the question of financial literacy in my head. I think the issue, like most issues, is multi-layered. Growing up, I was told that money was something you never discussed openly with people (in addition to politics, religion, and sex/gender). Therefore, I fear that any discussion of finance would be seen as trying to make a class issue. Also, I'm curious who would be teaching these classes; teachers? parents? or bankers? Be warned, they're a lot of BS that bankers sell to gullible people, so, there's that. Also, what method will we use to teach students? Will it be bankers patronizing people for buying simple things or will it be handled with respect? Most wealth is inherited anyway.

When you have a high income it's very easy to save for retirement but if you have very Low income I don't think it's possible. They kinda just don't acknowledge that very important fact.

I hate to say this I was taught financial literacy and most people that are 40 and over with tortoise in school but when money got tight and we got laid off I stop saving I stopped it was because my money wasn't long anymore so I had to begin again but it's not because I didn't have financial a lot of people have done really well saving money up until the mortgage crisis the housing crisis the layoffs you know so we were able to get back on our feet like 2015-16 and here comes Kobe and naturally the truth of the matter a lot of us had great 401K retirement plan and everything and we got exhausted exhausted, and that's the it's better to tell a lie

If you don't have a clue just go buy an ETF like Ark Innovation, some S&P500 ETF or Invesco China Technology...because with single stocks, eben if they diversify, most people lose a lot of money. So get an ETF - which is a chosen bunch of stocks - wait for a decade - and you'll have made a 50% profit after inflation. And don't fall for the grifters who tell you how many hundreds of percent of profit they've made from buying this or that stock...or when they point you at stock prices in hindsight. I could point people at hundreds of stocks that would have made me a multi billionaire...if I could move back in time.
