McCartney got trashed so much for not "living up to expectations" but when I listen to his music now I don't know what people were bitching about. Sure he wrote some fluff, but he wrote an incredible range of music. This one I'd not heard before and it's brilliant. Great review.

Venus & Mars was a very solid McCartney album. This isn't what I saw as one of the better songs, but they all fit in. Even Denny's & Jimmy McCulloch. Letting Go was better Live on Over America. The hi-light may be Listen What the Man Said transitioning into Treat Her Gently.

This song was ok and I would listen to it, but my absolute favorite McCartney song after the Beatles is on the Band on the Run album, titled "1985." You should give it a listen. I saw Wings in concert in Berlin in 1976 and they performed the entire Venus and Mars album.
