If someone will ask me what has been the most epic motorcycle moments during this one month trip, I honestly don't know what to answer. Was it, even for a Finn, the worst weather I've driven in, or the people I've met, or things yet to be seen? I don't know. But driving in the milk was really hard, I couldn't see where the road led to and if I exceeded 15-20 km/h, I've could have ended with my BMW 700 GS in the ditch. I thought about to hook up my GoPros, but safety first, I saw a bus coming and the best I came up with was to drive behind that red huge cube. This was really not the best moto moments I've had. After I posted some pics on insta, the comments section was filled with drive safe-greetings.
I started from Jaca in Spain, where I lived for two nights at a cosy hotel close to the castle. Jaca is not a big town, but I kind of like paces that are easy to grasp, and seriously, does it matter if you drink your cold beer in a city with 300 000 inhabitants, or a town with 30 000? Of the same reason I chose Sort instead of Andorra, less is more. Though I had my suspicions when I arrived, because it really wasn't that great a place. One street, and that's it.
I was searching for the parking garage that the hotel provided, but though I had the remote for the door, I didn't find the door. So I asked two gents fixing their bike, but no luck about the parking. Instead they seemed to be motorcycle legends, one of them had driven around the world. So I spent the rest of the day chatting with Daz and Basil, heard one story more incredible that the other. Less is really more.
The next day I left Sort, arrived and run through Andorra, and ended up in the snow hell. Not so funny. I managed to get through and eventually arrived at Montolieu in France, a tiny village with a lot of book shops.
