Hi, the nickname is Oxyde and the game is Daytona USA played on XBox Live Arcade for XBox 360, recorded using Hauppauge HD PVR.
I am playing Survival Mode on the Three Seven Speedway (Beginner). In this mode, the goal is to complete the greatest number of laps/distance with specific time constraints and with grip loss enabled.
Daytona USA is an amazing racing game in which the goal is just to win the race. An extremely arcade gameplay that leaves no room for mistakes, and lets you enjoy driving the Hornet, the most popular Nascar vehicle worldwide. This beast can reach 335 km/h in seconds.

Notes: This is my second full run of the 80 laps of this track, effectively ranking me 6th on the XBox Live Leaderboards.
I recently re-played this mode and enhanced my score by just driving backwards once you reach the 80th lap.
The main things you should keep in mind when you try to beat this mode (which is, I think a relatively simple task on the two first tracks) are the following:
- Drive as efficiently as possible, you must always try to earn Time Extensions (T.E.), if not, try NOT to waste them.
- If you loose control of the car twice in a lap, you should pit stop, or try to go easy on the gas pedal. Driving in 3rd gear sometimes saves lives! While not going as fast, you'll hit less walls and avoid loosing precious seconds!
- Always drive on the edge of the road to earn said "On the edge" T.E.s, they grant you +2 Secs, and you can easily accumulate them.
- Consider the AIs as T.E.s and not ennemy cars, sometimes it's best to stick to a group of cars.
- Use the "Lap Bonus" at best! The most time you will gain will be during the start of the race, while the Lap Bonus T.E.s are available. The best you drive in the start, the more room for errors you will have by the end.
- "Pitless" is usually simple to trigger on Advanced & Beginner, just stick to the left edge of the road. If you are close enough (a matter of pixels actually!), you will gain both On the Edge & Pitless.
- The "Lucky Number" T.E. is annoying to grab, I'm horrible with the slots, try to use them when things look desperate!
