Then, an encounter-a bullet's deadly embrace narrowly avoided. We retaliate, a single shot fired in return, but the veil of uncertainty remains. A chase ensues, a race through the treacherous woods, until we confront an unseen adversary.
As we turn to face our pursuer, a searing pain pierces our chest, our heart pounding its final beats. Darkness descends, and in that moment, we realize-we are no longer among the living.
