If you don’t have it in already you should add northern lights occasionally during the night, due to what would most likely be the high latitude of the map.

@@danielesquivel1164 : Why should it be free Daniel? Sure, Bohemia is a pretty small team, but they still have overheads. Staff wages, rent on their offices, local and national taxes to pay, utility bills, IT hardware / software bills, travel expenses, marketing expenses, plus the thousands upon thousands of man-hours that go into developing a new map and all of the updates that go with it. But yet not only do you expect Bohemia to do this for free, you actually expect them to do all of this for you for a substantial loss? It seems to me that you’re actually pretty disrespectful and entitled. I don’t begrudge paying Bohemia £30 for this. Hell, I’d happily buy any of the Bohemia team a beer if I ever met them in real life.

I have to say that was the first thing I noticed that really concerned me. Otherwise DayZ is fantastic regardless of whether or not it gets a sequel. I love it for what it is, but if you're going to evolve, you need a fresh coat of paint. Graphics are perfectly fine, but seeing the same models over and over again, walking into the same houses could easily enough get monotonous and same-y, especially if you're advertising a totally new world to play in. I just want to see some new buildings. Be it DLC or a fully fledged game. They're a core part of the game and it's probably getting stale seeing the same buildings from a decade ago on every single map, regardless of the theme. Considering every single map depends on what are essentially the same assets to function at a base level. I say work on a bunch of new buildings with AI pathing and loot distribution so map makers have more to work with when creating custom scenarios as well. But who am I to say how easy that would be.

@@marcuseldridge8948 Lol same I head bush live of the land ,grab hunting gear then try deal with the wildlife. It usually goes pretty well until I have a hard time finding tetra etc, head to a town and 💀. It would be nice if the Devs added a basic medicinal crafting feature and use herbs / mushrooms etc.

Console has every official map PC does. It's just PC has so many amazing creators who make maps voluntarily and at most ask for support by donation. It's sad the modding community can't be brought to console because I don't really understand why not so maybe it will come in time if the console version gets enough interest from the players. This is great news for console players though so cheers to that.

Eat less and get your self a better pc, game is fine even with 1080ti, nothing wrong with optimization…Don't blame the badness of your own PC on optimisation, there is no such thing as perfect play on every PC, the better the PC the better the gaming experience

DayZ team has knocked it out of the park with a new official snow map. Very excited about the "interesting" landmarks they mentioned. Now what we really need are new scopes especially for the SV98 since it's basically a worse Tundra, and maybe some new weapons or weapon balancing that makes them feel unique!

I’d say after playing on Xbox for like 2 years I’d say it’s pretty decent, official servers are just a no go ofc because they just aren’t it. Some decent community servers on Xbox, not sure about ps5 tho, ive only played about an hour on there. I mean there’s kb&m support which I was glad about. I’d recommend it if you prefer console, since I agree pc can be a tad janky depending on servers and stuff. At the end of the day the game is pretty old so it’s still a lil clunky but I’d say it’s pretty decent on console. Hope this helps

A good step in the right direction, especially for all you on consoles. I hope to see many new assets for this region, as that's what we interact with so much of the time. Especially houses I hope to not see as boarded up as today.

Oh man i for sure wouldn't want that, what terifies me in this game is that everyone i find is an actual player with free will. Tarkov, for example, misses this by populating the world with A.I. Maybe on PVE servers that would be cool tho

@@user-bt2od3yw1b Its missing it because it makes no sense whatsoever, everyone that PVP'd was a bandit and people kept bloodbaggin their friends to be a hero, so there's literally no utility for it. Not to mention the biggest advantage of the humanity system was the skins, theres no skins in dayz, your skin is your gear in game, so no need for that.

I'm excited to see what kinds of clothing this adds, I find most of the fun to just be going around looting and surviving with as little player interaction as possible lol, so the new stuff and winter conditions sound great, can't wait to learn a new area.
