DayZ's New SUPER Traps | Tripwire Claymore Mine, Plastic Explosive & IED

The tripwire can be combined with the new claymore mine, plastic explosive or the new improvised explosive(IED).
In this video I explain how the claymore, C4 and IED can be used to trigger explosives at a distance, with the tripwire, with the kitchen timer and with the alarm clock to create the deadliest player traps in DayZ.
I also go into detail on the possible combinations of the improvised explosive you can have a combo them with other traps and explosives to explain how the IED is the best explosive in DayZ.
The new DayZ 1.18 update has made traps even deadlier than in previous DayZ patches.

I love the smoke Grenade trap it notifies you when your base is getting raided and from what angle you can use different color smokes for different flanks. Now all we need is for Duping to be patched and 1.18 will be so fun to play on

I got kinda geared on experimental servers found a launcher and rounds, shot one launcher grenade and killed myself instantly. 10/10 would do again.

This is my new favorite update. I've loved every one of the updates since 1.14 however all tge recent trip traps are my favorite thing being a lone wolf/nomad player having the ability to set ambushes and funnel players using traps makes it easier to even the odds against multiple geared survivors.

This is one of the best videos yet lol. I had been thinking about combinations and how they'd work, I haven't even played experimental yet, but like usual, WOBO has gone ahead and done all the hard work for me lol. I do particularly like the base alarms, especially when you take it with you, very clever. And did you say it'll trigger the fireworks, or were you saying light the fireworks and then trigger the IED? 😅

Haha thanks... This is one of my favourite patches too! Fireworks can't be triggered by the detonator, but maybe the devs will allow fireworks to trigger when ruined... or even with a detonator.

Hey. Does the claymores 90 degree angle also apply in elevation aswell? Im curious if you could for example hide the claymore on top of a container or low roofs? This would allow for some sneaky outside claymores that could potentially kill a entire squad thats trying to breach a building

Regarding transmiter distance. ARMA is 100 meters. Most low power radio camera triggers are hundreds of meters.

i fully agree with your idea of making the remote detonator unit combine with radios or the field radio (the latter one would then finally be useful for something!) to increase the range. 50m is extremely low and I don't see why it would be necessary. I guess they implemented that for balancing reasons, so you know if a charge goes off the guy has to be close, but that's not really a relevant nerf to it imo. Btw, thanks for your as always super well researched vids. I'm currently running a character that survived for over a week of gametime, having already raided a base with an IED (it worked fine for us; the lower half frame was still standing but the lock got blown off too, charge was 1 plastic explosive and 1 40mm HE grenade, set off with a kitchen timer) and have another remote detonator unit, plastic explosive and severel 40mm HE nades in my inventory. Currently looking for the grenade launcher, didn't have any luck so far at any of the unique loot spawns from the middle of the map up to kamensk military. I was bouncing between Kamensk military and Arsenovo camp for a while until I left because there was way too much action after I had a few firefights.

I think being able to put a handheld radio in the ied and detonate it using another radio on same frequencies would make sense. Or combining a screw driver or knife to handheld to get a reciver

This gonna be so dope can just plant plastic explosives all throughout atc and then you can watch from a far with like 10 tripwire traps next to you with the detonator attached to them then when you see people go into atc you run through all of them blow that atc up or you can trip each detonator that you know has a player in it which also has a plastic explosives in it can't wait to use this

Hear me out, since the plastic explosive is found at Industrial locations instead of military installations, this implies it has an "Industrial use." It could be loosely hinting farward to finally uncovering the sealed salt mines in Livonia and Cherneraus, resulting in new underground playable areas

So using a tripwire you can get around the short 50m . So set you explosive where you want, go hide in a good vantage point and set up your tripwire and attach the trigger. When someone is near just walk through the tripwire

We have been putting tripwires with grenades on them and then putting the 40mm pox grenade on the ground next to it… kills the player and leaves a gas circle around it to kill any other players or zombies attracted to the explosion. Super effective and hilarious

My buddy and I both have a claymore a piece and we are wanting to set up an ambush with them. Is the handheld detonator still only 50m? Thanks for your time!
