Thanks for the video! I'm also building a similar project but opted to try to do it all analog. I've been successful in some areas and less so in others and I'm starting to think that microcontrollers were invented for a reason ;) I look forward to the other episodes to see how it all turns out.

5:35 The two 10K resistors are not configured as a voltage divider because there is no current flowing through the top one (the inverting input is of really high impedance)

Yeah you are right, oops.. The upper one should have been on the wire to the right.. I will put an annotation in the video :/ Thanks for mentioning that ! :)

Thanks, and you're welcome :) I'm glad you like them. :DI think they turned out ok as well. But if I had to get more printed, I think I would chose a lighter shade of gray for the shirt.. To give a bit better contrast to the print..

Great video, as always, very clear and easy to follow. I was just thinking that if you wanted to keep the security but have a dedicated load on button, you could make it that the user has to press the "on" button twice in order to start the load? Just a simple suggestion :)

Can you tell us how you hook up your UT61E Meter, is the meter current resistor in series with your 4 power resistors?

You mean in part 2 right ? :)The meter is connected in series on the high side (so it would be, Battery -> Meter -> FETs -> Power resistors -> GND )
