So today was mostly about zoo animals, but it ended with Trump's verdict and me running downtown to see if anything was going on. There wasn't.

The circus came to NYC when I was in college there in the eighties. They had to block off traffic each day to walk the elephants.

Perhaps the best coverage of the Normandy anniversary was done by CBS that they also nicely uploaded to KZfaq is called CBS Reports (1964): "D-Day Plus 20 Years - Eisenhower Returns to Normandy." It is hosted by Walter Cronkite, and there is a moment near the beginning that in my view captures everything about what Normandy and the war was about. I don't want to spoil the moment if you watch it so I'll leave it at that. The World War II day by day channel did a 24 real time special on D-Day as well.

*Field Trip* !!! The last time, I been to this Zoo, when I was a teenager. There's another Zoo in USA , that's very nice and it's St.Louis Zoo. *Are there any penguin there at that zoo* ? It's Crowded daily , they take pride in their Zoo. There's Bald Eagles 30 minutes away , they fly everywhere . It's neat to see them in the fall time .

the orangutans look like a sloth yetti combo, lol...the elephants look so sad, I wish they had much bigger areas for the elephants, like sanctuary size ...those tiger paws look massive...antifa would not protest gaza...antifa means anti fascist, like the our troops in WWII were antifa...I am glad the protests today were peaceful, it looked like pleasant weather for tourists

wow! this was great! Love the old man 🦧 of the forest!! We need to make sure they don't lose their original treed home in Borneo, no matter what $ it takes. I saw a video of one of these guys standing on the tractor that was tearing all his trees down, trying to get them to stop. ..not violent at all.. just present on the machine and getting in the way. A Hero. love this video it was so pleasant to just stroll around the town and that Zoo! i dont usually like zoos but these guys look pretty content.. love the river otters : ) Thank You ! 🌱

I recall that during the Covid-19 Pandemic when zoos where shutdown that the animals missed the visitors. So they do notice us, and some do form attachments to their caretakers.

The pandas could have just as easily wandered across our southern border, it's wide open. There is a small army of Chinese citizens that are taking advantage of the open border, they could have done the pandas a solid and carried the pandas in with them.
