@@ICollectStuff Mcfarlane and Target don't profit off of that though. Maybe SDCC prices would have been much higher. But as it is right now though, the figure is the exact same price as the other guy.

Also if anyone gets this or the regular darkseid, articulate the head from the face don’t push the chin as you can snap the chin guard…speaking from experience. It’s an easy fix but why not avoid it if you can

This figure is so dope! Yeah, it could have more accessories but it's still much better than the regular version. I'll give it a sudrating of, I LOVE IT!

Nice review. I have both the armored and beach body versions of this figure. The armored version is definitely the one to get if you only want one. It's close enough to the comic look to work as a standard Darkseid, and it doesn't cost three figures like the Storm Collectibles and the Mezco figures do. I lucked out and found a couple of them at a local Target. Great figure.

man I feel that to. I used to have the storm collectibles darkseid and it took a huge chunk of money from my wallet. Now I aint that rich so I sold him off but now I got some money so im in a dilemma on which one to buy. I love the storm collectibles one but at the same time its very expensive and this guy is 2nd best compared to him and costs much cheaper. If it had more hands, maybe omega beams I would totally choose this over storm collectibles. Now im stuck wondering which one should I get.

I’ve watched 6 different reviews of this particular figure, and NO talked about how the right arm has a huge problem of not rotating properly, except for WylunOne on KZfaq, at the joint before the shoulder.

Once I repainted it to be more movie accurate with a darker blued steel and a silver dry brushing to make it look worn, it definitely came out looking even better. Like it could easily pass for an SH Figuarts or a Mafex.

I have a few of the unarmored versions, and while they are really cool, the QC is pretty shaky, and the proportions are a bit funky. I think theres a batch they put out where the ball hinge in the ankle was glued, instead of free floating. The chin area on his helmet is super thin, much like hus butt flap, and his hands could be a bit wider. Plus that weird twist on jis left gauntlet is really funky.

I so feel you, i prefer the armored darkseid figure by a lot. I missed out on the preorder so i ended up with the shirtless, but he just came yesterday (WITH STEPPENWOLF) and they are both pretty imposing figures. For a good price, like you said.

I do wish this was the main release and not the variant. Maybe McFarlane got the Young/Armorless Darkseid design first (as it’s the look for Darkseid we see in most of the early promos), and then got the Armored design sometime after. That’s my guess though.

Ngl, this figure is way better than the Mezco in almost every way besides accessories. I mean it’s big, imposing, it works in a comic or movie shelf, and it’s only $40 compared to the Mezco $150

Great review! Why did we even get a topless version? I mean, if it were Harley Quinn, I would totally understand but Darkseid? Anyway, I'm not going out of my way to order this one but if I see it in Target, I'll probably get it.

So my experience is I found a shirtless darkseid in the gold label box. And it looked cool and all but I was set for the armored one. I finally got it yesterday and it’s definitely a crown jewel of my collection. But it was INSANELY HARD TO GET A HOLD OF HOLY SHIT! And so was the classic snyder cut superman. Both target exclusives. Was surprised to even receive them.

I am using the shirtless one in my comic collection. I lucked out and found that one in a Walmart as they were putting it out. Not going to waste my time hunting for a hard to find Gold version and not going to pay extra $$$ for a comic accurate one so Nerds gonna have to suck it.

I snag mine off a seller on Amazon for a 100$, Because it's the only way I could have get it because I'm in Canada and we don't have any targets I wouldn't advise anyone to do the same unless you really want it.

Everyone watch out for that bicep swivel. I bought TWO of the shirtless Darkside and one armored one, where the arm just popped off at the right bicep for all of them. I was able to return them and finally got good ones.

I get that people were disappointed that darkseid wasnt set up more in the movie, but he was still set up more in his first appearance than thanos was in his first 3 appearances

Hey man I really need your help. I just got my hands on the sdcc McFarlane armored Darkseid and his arms from the biceps down just came off on both sides. I didn’t hear you say anything about it I’m your review so idk if it’s an issue with my copy or if you just didn’t mess with it enough that they came out or what but if you could help me out I’d appreciate it.

I might use this as a comic Darkseid, only because there's not much else out there in terms of affordable or well articulated Darkseid figures. Sure he's a bit too skinny and stylized but he's close enough to work in a display for me, if I even get this figure which I'm still unsure about.

I knew about the maintenance problem with figure so I avoided messing with right arm sir before I even got the figure sir thanks to other collectors who had problem with figure and got the heads up sir

Yeah i love it more then the shirtless one. I got the shirtless one the other day but now I got to get this too. I seen at a vintage stock a gold label Batman and they wanted $99.99 for it. I thought that it was priced way too high. And they have the steppen wolf and a mask less Batman at a reasonable price. Going to get them both but not the gold label Batman. Lol!! On this figure the peg is falling out of the more secure mushroom cap. You have to heat it up and glue it on the bicep peg.

Yo!, if you want a great darkseid figure get the storm collectibles one sure it’s not the movie one but the it looks great and would go really great with the other justice league mcfarlane figures are other dc figures from other lines it scales great
