These custom collectibles in the mcfarlane dc multiverse action figure series always turn out incredible

Tbh mcfarlane has great figures
@ivanfrias26052 жыл бұрын
@@shadyb1449 ehh, they have hit or misses mostly misses, their figures dont articulate particularly well, only some do but even then they are sorta static
@shadyb14492 жыл бұрын
@@ivanfrias2605 well remember they are only what a year old now. They’ve actually had some amazing figures. Some are flawed just like everyone else. And they do have some wacky figures can’t deny that. But tbh some are amazing.
@theepoopydoodoo2 жыл бұрын
The McFarlane figures have amazing sculpts, so a lil bit of paint makes them stunning
@ivanfrias26052 жыл бұрын
@@shadyb1449 I guess you have a point, but McFarlane has been making toys longer than Marvel Legends has been around, since the 90s, also Id rather have multiple good figures than 1 great fig from a wave out of 6

About time a proper custom collectable with a base. Hell yea love it when there's more to it than just a paint job.

Great job as usual, Chris! Love that Darkseid conquers entire worlds but can’t invest in a decent office chair with lumbar support.

Another masterpiece, Chris. McFarlane has great molds and you really make the details pop. While I hope their figures for The Batman will have better paint jobs than the JL ones, I'm really looking forward to seeing you pimp out Pattinson's Batman.
@alexandergoodman92922 жыл бұрын
This looks great! I really like the fact that it almost looks black and white, with just a hint of blue. Can't wait to see more McFarlane customs!

I'll give it a like for the Throne, it looks fantastic, for Darkseid I think the color went a little too far on the muteness.
@SolidZach2 жыл бұрын
Same, he did a good job painting it but I think the grey should be lighter and the blue darker, but that's just my opinion, it's more of a personal taste thing
@christrefz31952 жыл бұрын
I agree, I think he overdid the muteness. Still, pretty amazing how much detail was in the figure when you can actually see it!
@KidFlash872 жыл бұрын
Same and I think that the throne needs the back part back

I would love to see Darkseid vs Thanos just to see him kick the absolute living shit out of Thanos. Darkseid rules! And so does this paint job!
@TheWarchiefZekeJaeger2 жыл бұрын
Looks good, but some details it should had: Dark purple armor, skin slightly less darker and shiny gold eyes. Could go beyond and add some "fire" color to the blades in his glave/spear. But damn the throne turned out to be really cool.

You don't have to cut Mcfarlane skirts and vests off. Just heat them up and pull them off. With the Arm on this figure you have to glue on the mushroom cap though hopefully still be in the shoulder. Heat up the shoulders, pry out the cap. Glue it to the bicep pegs. Put them back in. I don't know why this is an issue and I think it's actually a fix to a bad problem.
@AlxCVFX2 жыл бұрын
Im so sad that yours also has QC issues :( mine unfortunately even came with two left shin guards, aside from the super loose arm. Terrible QC control with this guy. McFarlane was unable to provide me with replacement parts since this is entirely out of stock, so, I came across another solution, I bought the armor-less Uxas version, and I was able to take its arms and shin guards and put them in the armored Darkseid since they're exactly the same. Very disappointed that I had to make an extra expense, but I was gonna get Uxas later anyway, so I don't mind.

Personally, I think you eliminated too much of the blue. What's left doesn't contrast with his skin enough any longer. I simply did it steel color dry brush over the blue and I love the result. Personal preference.

Man. I’m so glad to see Chris do more figures, he really goes into the looks for accuracy and everything man! A bit of a tip though from one customizer to another? If you have trouble having a figure keep a pose, put the figure in a mug or bowl with hot (not warm but hot) water, let the figure there for about a minute, minute and a half, by then the plastic should be very mailable and almost rubbery, that’s when you pose the figure and have it hold that pose for about a minute or so and your figure should be able to pose how you like, it’s always best to do so when you get a mcfarlane or NECA product anyway, reduces likelihood of breakage and tight joints! As always love the work man! Can’t wait to see you do some work on the Superman figure
