Kingdom Come was completed. To add to it would be wrong. Tell a different story with new characters but let that one alone. Look at the shitshow with Watchmen when they decided to dip into that pool again. Garbage that tainted the legacy of the original story.

@@itachi_susanoo8274 there's definitely that too. But when someone is angry about getting something in "lore" or the history of a story wrong , and I've seen it too, Kind of silly to be angry about. There's nice ways to correct people about things and then there's being an asshole

On paper he is but writers love sucking off Superman and Batman so even though he can channel red-sun energy that makes Superman human again, he still loses to him because of that big S on his chest. But other times where it’s someone who’s as strong as Superman but isn’t Kryptionian is gonna kill him eventually when they breach his suit he dies potentially taking his aggressor with him although the ensuing explosion from his death wasn’t potent enough to kill Superman or Wonderwoman

He's mainly used as a plot device called the Worf effect. Where a powerful character is regularly defeated by enemies to demonstrate how powerful the enemies are to the audience. However this happens so often to said character they become a joke as a result. You see this with characters like Yamcha in DB, Superman in JL season 1, and well Worf from Star Trek. Captain Atom is really Powerful, but is mainly used by the writers to introduce and hype up new characters.

@@catiloh6086 I agree. I beleve pretty much the entire cast of Dragon Ball Suffers from Flanderization and the "Worf Effect". Vegita's main role is to basically hype up a foe for Goku to beat, Pretty much took over Yamcha's role in Dragon Ball and DBZ. Though he doesn't suffer nearly as much scrutiny as Yamcha cause, people only know his DBZ incarnation, how Lame he was and how he got killed all the time in DBZ, not his Original Dragon Ball incarnation.

Reading kingdom come is one of the things that really got me into comic books. I would love to se a remastered version.

Captain Atom has done some crazy stuff. He created a complete clone of earth complete with all the people on it and an entire universe in the palm of his hand. He stated though that he didn't like using his powers like that because ending a universe and killing trillions if people isn't right. Even if he was the one that created them.

Captain Atom, as Monarch, threw hands with Superboy Prime 1v1 and essentially won. SBP's resurrection power was the only thing that saved him.

Hey Rob, long time listener, first time caller, been listening to your stuff for the past 3 years now and loving it. I was curious if you could cover the new Batman beyond comic? Hear he has a robin now could be cool. Also a video on the Wolverine family. Origins and abilities and stuff. I catch glimpses of them in some other stuff you cover but lost on where some of them came from. Anyway thanks for your time and keep up the great work!

One of the sad things about, what has been done with Captain Atom, is that the unresolved plot from "Extreme Justice", was never tied up. The original plan, from "Armageddon 2001" was for Captain Atom to become "Monarch". But that was changed so Hank Hall, "Hawk" of Hawk & Dove became "Monarch". In Extreme Justice, Captain Atom & Monarch, were the same being. Probably. On the old DC boards, I talked to someone in DC production and the way they saw it, was the Quantum Light Split test. One was a Particle and one was a Wave. Captain Atom was the Particle. Monarch was the Wave (His teleportation ability would seem back that up). Also, Monarch, had been bounced back into Quantum Field, until a dying Hank Hall's are armour showed up. To that version of Nathaniel Christopher Adam, its still 1968, he's just taken part in a test to get his pardon from military prison, and he's still angry about being, set up for killing a superior officer in Vietnam, and losing his wife & children etc. So the "Extreme Justice" plot was left hanging. And I don't think many editors or writers, are aware of it. "Monarch" could be up their with Black Adam, wanting to create a perfect world. Fighting bad guys cause they are nuts is one thing. Fighting someone who as a vision, is an Authoritarian Technocratic Dictator, that is something else.

Roosevelt & Churchill, have been persuaded to use the All Star Squadron, directly against Adolf Hitler, Capturing or Killing him, ending WW2. He instructs J Edgar Hoover, to create a special FBI division to keep a watch on them all. ** Their was then supposed to be an ongoing series, with the non powered heroes led by various adventures, like Speed Saunders & King Faraday, searching the world for the other mystical objects, to stop them falling into Axis hands. Hitler apparently needs 4 of them for certain victory. Which include, the Sword of Justice - Excalibur, Egyptian Book of the Dead, Library of Atlantis, Ark of the Covenant, Staff of Moses, and the Holy Grail.

When Captain Atom became the villain Monarch he had his chest ripped open by Superboy-Prime and the explosion destroyed an entire universe. But both of them survived. Captain Atom has exploded numerous times and has always survived. The Captain Atom from the Kingdom Come universe most likely was just transported somewhere through time and space when he exploded

@@torrancemoore6152 No, that was the pre-Flashpoint Captain Atom. He just looked like the Kingdom Come Captain Atom because he had a piece of Void's power inside of him that altered his appearance. That same Captain Atom later killed the KC Captain Atom when he was Monarch

One thing I never got was how the heroes are responsible for the villains 100% of the time. Why has the government with all the technology they have, improved the jails or facilities to hold these criminals. The government gets zero blame? Not buying that.

If you want Batman being badass with a nice sprinkle of light-hearted moments- I can not suggest Paul Dini's run enough. It is in my humble opinion, the most overlooked run on any mainstream hero.

Cut Rob some slack .the good he does for us newbies are great when it comes to learning about comics .I'm 6 years in learning about comics and my knowledge is vast because of rob .so cut him some slack were human we make mistakes. Keep feed my hunger for comic knowledge. Thanks rob keep putting the engery and personality in these videos. Sh*ts captivating .I be binge watch the hell out of comics explained and yeah, let's begin lol

Yes! A Remake for Kingdom Come would be awesome and I think u never covered all of the Alex Ross Comics - At least I only remember Shazam, Batman, Superman(?) and Kingdom Come
