This is a video I made in 2015 and never got around to editing/uploading. I compare a DC17 to a 2015 Dyson Ball, also DC23 motorhead and DC35. Vacuuming up sawdust. I returned the 2015 Dyson Ball a few days later because I found it far too difficult to use. The other vacuums are all still in use and their filters are all still spotless and I probably haven't even washed the filters in all these years.

I love both the older Dysons and the newer ones, I personally think a metal rod moulded into the chassis would be a good idea Fantastic video btw

Does your dc17 creak like the cleaner head Assembly makes like weird noises cause the one I have makes noises

Yeah, most Dysons make creaking weird noises you just cant always hear it over the motor running.

Also the ball will eventually break off on one side.

And thats why i didn't want to buy the Dyson Ball 2. I heard you have to get it professionally cleaned and repaired.

They wont because the early DC41s only had a solid but thin plastic for the yolk assembly, then they changed it to a more matte kind of plastic which is more softer and there's been no problems since :)
