Awesome tip last video, disengage NWS prior to rolling, and tap the brake L/R to stay centered during takeoff. Made the takeoffs 1000 percent straighter. Thank you.

you can get rid of the mask tgp messege by either putting it in standby through the MFD, top left button to get into mode select. from there you can put it in A-A, A-G, or STBY. STBY is the one you want. or you can hit the override button on the top right. however, in the current DCS open beta built i found that gets rid of the HSD designation cross. and this issue will follow you through subsequent airplanes till you relaunch DCS. without that designation cross on the HSD you've got no clue what you're TGP is looking at relative to you. so that's a really annoying problem. so for the time being, never touch the override button. IRL it's used to stow the TGP for take off and landing to prevent any sort of debris from impacting the lenses and causing damage. in DCS you just have to put it to stand by or power it down completely for the time being.

I also have a problem with TGP in this campaign (when doing cold start). The hud marker (square with a dot) is not in the same place as TGP points exactly. This causes lot of problems, Mavericks are not being synced, Jdams not hitting and so on. What may cause such a mess? When I use JHMCS on mission start, the hud point for a TGP is somewhere behind jet, even after takeoff...

probably to do with INS allignment not being correct. i'd wager it'd be a wrong altitude entered during allignment. you need to add 6 feet to ground altitude if you're manually setting it during the INS allignment due to the jet sitting that far off the ground on it's gear.@@norman191000

Sorry for the late reply. I do a lot of testing and move files around a lot for videos. I disabled it and just, honestly, haven't turned it back on. It's a great mod. One big reason though is I was having trouble with IC checks on some servers. Not sure if it was the mod though. Turned it off amongst others and just didn't turn them back on yet.

yellow cursor is back - just noticed, how long has that been fixed? I recall it was due to a driver issue

Yes all is correct. I know how to work the ICP and DED pretty well. All other pages work it just won't go to the DLINK page in the campaign. I can fly without it just better to have it, didn't know if anyone else had reported the problem. The DLINK page does come up everywhere else I fly just not in this campaign.

Not sure why that is happening to you. I have not had this happen in that happen in this campaign or any other single player missions at all. I can always use this workaround. I'm not sure why you are experiencing that. As far as I am aware, there are no other work arounds. We are just waiting on the fix. Hopefully in the next update.

I believe if you put the pod into stand-by it will not show the masking message in the HUD. Might be wrong, but worth a shot.

It used to, but now Standby alone is not enough. The TGP has to be manually moved so it's unmasked or snowplowed or any other submode that moves the TGP view ahead and then put it on Standby. Hopefully this is improved in the next patch , as well as other issues like the Daralink not initializing correctly or the radar boresight cross in ACM mode getting stuck on the HUD when switching out of DFM OVERRIDE back into A-G

Now that I think about it, I don't remember when the HUD warning was added, but I know I didn't have to mess with the TGP like I described above before :v

Hi Bogey Dope, I seem to be having a problem with my TGP during this mission, I think I might be doing something wrong. At the time when I receive the first GPS co-ordinates, I punch them in correctly into an unused stearpoint and all that, but then my TGP seems to want to "float" around. Even when I return back to steerpoint 4 or 5 from the actual flightplan, the TGP and even the autopilot seems to have a mind of it's own. The NAV align on the ground prior to taxi was done correctly. Is there a way that I can "reset" the TGP or my NAV computer? Can the TGP be over G'd? Thanks.

Hmm. What you are describing sounds like an INS misalignment. So, if you are correct, that the INS was aligned properly, then I'm not sure why you're seeing symptoms of a misalignment. Currently in DCS, no, you can't over-g the TGP. In real life, you absolutely can. This may change in the future in DCS, but for now, it can't be over-g'd. To reset, you would turn your INS knob to OFF and then back to align. But if you're already in the air, the only other option would be in flight alignment. Is it true that crew chiefs actually use the official name Fighting Falcon? I read a comment on Instagram from a guy who claims to be a crew chief. Just curious. That was the name that I became most familiar with when I first started using the old simulators back in the 1980s. Didn't hear Viper until much later.

Crew Chiefs say Falcon or Viper. I've heard Crew Chiefs say both, but most commonly Falcon amongst ground crew. Pilots always say Viper. I've never heard a pilot say Falcon....

If your TGP isn't slewing to the steerpoint you put in, then make sure whatever weapon you are using is either in PRE or CCRP mode.

@@user-dh7ti7if5h No. CZ (Cursor Zero) resets it if your slew isn't where it should be automatically. Another thing you may need to check is your INS alignment. If you didn't align your INS before takeoff, you'll have problems finding anything with GPS coordinates.
