Flying Flanker Su-27 / J-11 on the Growling Sidewinder pvp server to fight an F-15 and an F-18 hornet. From a mach 1.5 long range shot to a sneaky maneuver to get a splash on a hornet which was chasing me. Brief explanation of tactics for success in air to air combat.

Good video. I think Violet is part of the Grim Reaper gang across the pond. What kind of speed can you get out of an ET above 30,000ft, when launched at a high altitude target, when you are fast (M1.2+)? I think the FOX-1 on Violet has a good choice. SUPER fast missile denying Violet the escape. An R-73 might have given more time to turn away and duck down behind the ridge.

yup yup, i was worried violet had an aim9x, and against the trees I couldnt tell Violets aspect, flying at me away, etc. really bad dangerous spot, and i was soo busy keeping my head out of the cockpit looking for Violet I wasnt looking at my datalink to see if someone was going to spring on me. where is your setup and dcs we need to get you in here!

Wouldn't one jammer be enough? instead take one r73 and one jammer? Or you have to take two of them?

Gotta have a pair one receives one transmits. In the USA jammers a single pod can do the trick the Russian microchip technology was not as micro

Imagine being that guy people laugh at on GS. We laugh at the antics of the taxiing and airfield follies of the newbs, and then we do something funny. More to the point of the video, the pilot that knows the capabilities of his equipment and his opponent's equipment has a far far greater chance of success. But seriously, not knowing the capabilities of the enemy's weapons can be fatal to the mission.

Aye.. And yes that was a stupid landing by yours truly but I came in so slow.... Lol. Hahaha I do dumb stuff all the time Yup gotta know the enemy and expect them to be fully competent can't assume that they will be snoozing

Actually I think I had one R77 but remember in dcs world by default those are only on growling as nonstandard mods on flanker.. Which only has 27er and 27et

Flanker is lame and slow. Mig much better. Jammers are useless

I've been launching and scoring kills at Mach 2.5. Jammers are extremly useful especially with radar upgrades f-teen fighters got in DCS within last year.

@@okopanja890 mach 2.5 is only when you dive. Give me a realistic number a flanker can go loaded. You can just take two missiles I guess, thats fun, do that sometimes
