I’m a 60 pilot and I can’t explain how excited I am for this release. You guys are doing great and I am super excited for the full release.

It was absolutely brilliant releasing the model early. I am sure you are already receiving an influx of tips from current and former blackhawk pilots. This knowledge base isn't as prevalent in the Huey. The pilots are mostly old retired pilots or new pilots in old hueys. With other models like the MI-8 the knowledge base is in several different languages. Most of your blackhawk pilots are young to middle aged, speak english(as at least a second language), and have an online presence. So I would bet they will be much more helpful in the development process

@@timbrwolf1121 I just want to say, I love being a FP-C/CFRNP! I have had the honour of bringing home 13 brand new US Citizens adopted from mainland China, Thailand or the Philippines . They have all had special needs but as an adoptive parent of kids with burns, limb difference and nephrological needs easily remedied by surgery, what I now do actually matters compared to blowing up motherfucking goat herders!

@@takaharatanaka8818 I was mainly remarking on the falcon 50, but I would have guessed air ambulance. I suppose it wasn't technically a fighter, but at one point the US put Exocet missiles on a Falcon 50. Couldn't agree more. Honestly I wish These modders would get together and make new third party studios. The only other part I would disagree with you on, is that what I actually like them to start off with a late 80s early 90s era twin bladed twin engine cobra. Solely for the purpose of balancing the M8. That and because twin cobras are cool in the way that Harleys are cool. There was a marine detachment at my base for about 6 years, and hearing the wop wop wop wop wop was always exciting.

@@hanznathanpo yes but like I already stated for those that don’t have the mod it use the default model so it’s not a requirement for everyone to download like the A-4 since there is no A-4 model in base game.

They need very expensive liscenses from the real aircraft manufscture so it's not very often a mod team is able to do that

What's the major difference between a UH-60 with a refueling probe and the HH-60? My impression was that the refueling probe was the major difference between the two, but now I know there's a UH-60 with a probe so I don't know haha

The Lima is the same as the alpha with a different transmission and engines. It's one of the oldest models.

The MI-24P is still VERY difficult to master during T/O and landings😉😉 Huey is very analogue and fun to fly even without active stability systems.

@@dustinmantei76 I don't mean the 2.6 inches (SH-60B) between the main rotor disk and the tail rotor disk. You are correct, they can't hit each other. I mean the main rotor being able to flex down enough to impact the tail boom (or antenna on top the boom). Under normal conditions, like just smoothly moving the cyclic full aft, the blades are not going to hit the boom. I don't remember if there was a NATOPS note or caution about it, but we were taught to not pull full aft on the cyclic when taxiing. Again, this was in the SH-60B (Block 0 & Block 1) in the late 90's. Not sure if it applies to all versions of the H-60. I'm pretty sure current H-60 versions have different blade dampening now, but don't know if their range of motion is different or not. Just thought of it now, but blades could now be stiffer too? It is certainly possible that engineering changes have made it a non-issue. A funny and related story: My very first flight in a SH-60B was at a "Fleet Fly-In" while I was finishing flight training. Examples of all the USN & USMC helicopters were brought in for us to see, we could talk to the pilots about their various missions, and we got familiarization rides. I flew a SH-60B back to Whiting from the OLF where all the FAM flights had been taking place. The aircraft commander let me fly the entire way back since I knew the local course rules. I flew a visual approach to one of the South Whiting helipads, expecting him to take the controls and land, but he didn't take the controls so I came to a hover and then landed. I was only a few flights away from getting my wings, so I must not have scarred him! Anyway, we were cleared to taxi and I still had the controls, so I started taxiing. At some point I wanted to slow down a bit, so I started pulling aft on the cyclic. The aircraft commander warned me not to pull all the way back because it was possible to hit the tail boom. I told him sorry, I was just trying to slow down a bit. He said, just use the brakes. Brakes! I had been flying TH-57s (skids) for long enough that I had not even thought of using toe brakes. That memory stuck with me. I'm sure I was told the same thing by instructors while going through the FRS too.

@@matthewmcgee the issue for the Army version is contact with the ALQ-144 transmitter. You would hit the aft cyclic stick stops before you went too far past that anyhow and then if that failed -safety wire and torqued locknut- then you would have to break the aluminum housing holding the stick itself. Then the servo linkage on the hydraulic deck would have to fail, the walking beam would have to shear, and then the swashplate would put undue stress on the uniball. So it’s possible, sure, but a cascade of failures would need to occur

It's actually a flight assist. In the actual aircraft speeds above or below 60 knots will affect how the system helps. Heading hold vs turn coordination.

It's not that it flies bad, it's that you're fighting FPS and treating it like a Huey. The aircraft is trying to stabilize itself on whatever your flight path is so you don't have to. If you want it to not do that, use trim release instead of disabling FPS altogether to get the aircraft where you want it.

Technically speaking a knot is reference to Nautical miles per hour, or roughly 1 Degree of Longitude per hour. That’s why knots are used for ships and aircraft.

VRS isn't caused by a lack of power, you can't power out of it. That's why it's called "settling with power".

There's a nice, free C-130 mod. I think the developer, Anubis, is working on an official one as well. The free one is great in that you can also be a load master, and it's capable of troop and cargo drops.
