Yep good point. I will add that it needs to be down the angle deck, so the direction of the wind should be offset by 10 degrees from the carrier BRC. Having the wind coming right down the down interacts with the superstructure and causes turbulence known as "The Burble". For example, if the carrier or BRC course is 090 at 20 knots, the wind should be from 080 at 5 to 10 knots to create 25-30 knots down the angle deck.

I haven't actually. I'd taken a break from DCS up until yesterday. Flat out in starfield! Will have to have a look at it.

The red and white lines either side of the landing area are the foul lines. The small yellow and red zones are personnel and armament elevators

No I got it off an old E.D video as far as I remember. I have it memorized after 100 or so new mission templates 🤣

You should have templates but if not then you can create your own one

Thanks Michael. I didn't do anything special to get the detail on deck. It's the standard super carrier addon, no mods. Very interesting to understand why you are missing them. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but just a guess, are you running low settings?

No as it would need to be a group template and that does not save placed personnel etc. You can do it if you create a lua file though.

It's possible to 'Save as Static Template', will save all placed aircraft and personnel etc. But is Map specific and will be placed in the same position, you will need to re-create for each Map you have.

You'd have to select takeoff from runway. You can't deactivate cats

you can place AI parked aircraft in certain positions to stop the use of particular CATS

I actually haven't tried this but don't believe you can currently.

You should have the templates if you have the supercarrier module. If not I would contact Eagle Dynamics
