Sonic is a lot of fun to play, but I don’t get how Sonix can play the way he is. Only approaching with spin dashes, and trying to go for the safe options. Feel like if he switched up his gameplay he could’ve done more this set. But him being unable to and losing on time out is fantastic.

What’s weird is that Sonix was actually ahead in game 2 until he SD’d. I think that one SD (into being timed out) made him tilted for the entire rest of the set. Props to DDee for capitalizing. Not getting tilted is absolutely a skill and Sonix was simply less skilled lmao

I'm just going to say, DDee also uses "Steve" (more specifically, Alex) and knows what it's like to suffer for a character who is fast and uses timeout to his advantage. Also, people complain about DDee for using Steve, but people "side with Sonix with his Sonic" only when it's against Steve, knowing that Sonic, within the SSBU community, is just as annoying. Which always seemed stupid to me, knowing how Sonix is with Sonic. XD

i really don't think it was ragequit in this case. Sonix sometimes is really hipocrate and do salty shit, but just like Ddee acknowledges the fact he can't win on game 3, bc in this mu being down a full stock is rough, Sonix did this on the final game. It seems sonix already conceded bc both stand up on same time, he just unplug his controller like every player do at the end of the set.

This was kinda unfair for Sonix, on his stream he said the crowd was pretty loud and distracting since they were literally behind him. Sonix also said that the crowd was coaching Ddee telling him not to do this or that. IMO not as great of a time out as what Leo did because of those factors.

I’m just going to say it. I like watching the video game. Not when sonix plays though. Timing out Leo is corny. Beating Leo is not. Glutinous plays slow, but he beat Leo at pound fair and square no time out necessary. Watching sonix get timed out would have been boring as hell if it wasn’t for DDee taunting and t bagging. I've never understood why stalling in a spectator game like smash doesn't automatically dq you. No other professional sport allows you to do this. Why allow these people to come back? If you stop allowing people who play like this to participate this play style stops being an issue.

It’s the rules of the game. Their utilizing their tools the best way they can. Interacting most of the time leads you to a negative spot so the meta is to not interact. But there was counter play. After so much time of both players slowly poking at each other. They have been draining each other mentally. It’s why taunting each other was so prevelant. You do not want to be the first to crack cuz if you do then u end up like sonix game 5. Even game 4 when he chocked the hit, it was cuz he was already so mentally drained he cracked under pressure
