Friesland is an amazing province(country) with alot of history (elfstedentocht) , Im from Drenthe and I wouldnt move to the west of the Netherlands even if you give me a million euro's . And another fact about Friesland is that the pretty woman live there :)

My husband is a BIG BIG Hûnekop fan. T-shirts, stickers on the car everything. My son grew up with the music. Remember him singing the songs on his toy guitar. Hilarious 😂 😄 and my husband goes to all the concerts and a while a go he had a drink with Emiel (the singer) they had the green stuff. Yep... 😲 😱 🤣🤣 he was so sick the next day but totaly worth it he said 👍🏻🤣

I was born in Amsterdam 47 years ago, so I know how to be Amsterdammer, but I rather be in the country side. So I was born in the wrong place. I lived in the south, Limburg also not the right place. Now I live in South Holland, yes the ugly west. But if I could. I would move to frysland or drenthe. But it is an economical choice.

@@robvanlent1008 Hallo Rob, het is niet zo dat ik wil afgeven op het westen zelf, want dat is ook een prachtig deel van ons land, mooie landschappen, de zee en de duinen. Geweldig. De algemene mentaliteit van veel mensen daar.. mwah. Wat mij irriteert is dat onze regering(en) nog steeds aan het westen het grootste deel van ons belastinggeld uitgeeft met te weinig aandacht voor wat de rest van het land nodig heeft, zoals investeringen in de economie in de andere provincies, beter wegennet, openbaar vervoer. Er loopt niet eens een hogesnelheidstrein van noord naar zuid. De hoge snelheidstreinen, die alleen vanuit en door het westen naar landen als Duitsland, België of Frankrijk lopen. De rest van ons land doet er blijkbaar niet toe. Dat dus. Voorbeeldje. Vanuit Eindhoven (mijn stad) of Noord Limburg kun je niet eens met de trein naar België, moeten we eerst naar Breda of Rotterdam reizen. Dus eerst verder het land in om eruit te kunnen reizen. Dat soort dingen. Gewoon niet belangrijk voor Den Haag. Een extra metrolijntje bij Amsterdam, véél belangrijker! Hup daar gaan de miljoenen weer. Wat betreft waar te wonen, tja, ik denk daar waar je jezelf het prettigst voelt. Dat is voor iedereen anders. Ik ben geboren in Eindhoven, niet de mooiste stad, woon er nog steeds, na een paar verhuizingen in de regio, maar voor mij de beste stad. Gevoelsmatig en qua saamhorigheid en gezelligheid nog steeds een groot dorp. Als je je hart kunt volgen ben je in het voordeel lijkt me. Ik hoop dat jouw wens ook uit kan komen. Dit is een lang verhaal geworden zie ik nu maar had het nodig om het goed uit te leggen. Groetjes vanuit Brainport Eindhoven.

@@marliesboom2737 je hebt volkomen gelijk, ik woon in Leiderdorp nu, net over de grens van noord Holland, ik heb het voordeel van de stad leiden. Maar de rust van het dorp. En nogmaals je hebt volkomen gelijk al het geld gaat naar noord Holland, en de rest kan stikken. Ik denk zelf dat ik mij thuis in een drenths gehuchtje zou voelen. Daar waar het enige is, het stop( verkeers) licht gaat op rood of groen. Er is altijd wat te doen. Ik voelde me ook niet aan gesproken. Maar bijvoorbeeld " nee, lieve schat" . Is heel gebruikelijk hier. Maar in andere provincie, is het bijna Sexuele intimidaties , maar het is gewoon een uitdrukking!

The Netherlands has 12 provinces, Friesland with almost all the Wadden islands is 1 from the very top and they also say in the north of the Netherlands and the Frisian language is an official language. hilarious! especially during the part (from 5:00) when the guy on the left talks english, and the guy on the right talks frisian. Let's say it like this: he doesn't always translates correctly from english to frisian.... ('then we will be nice to you' vs. 'then we will beat your head in' (sorry perhaps for the bad english translation of the frisian line)

In the Middle Ages there used to be a folk hero in this region called “Grutte Pier”, he was a true freedom fighter and, according to legend, he let every man he imprisioned say the words: bûter, brea en griene tsiis, wa’t dat net sizze kin, is gjin oprjochte Fries, to be sure he did not imprision a true Frisian. It means if you can’t say butter, bread and green cheese, you are not a true Frisian.
