Probably Conference League and a bunch of players with fat contracts United are incapable of unloading. Given the injuries he’s had, it’s understandable he’d get another season. However, I think Ineos have already made their made mind up and fa cup final will be his final game. With this timing good chance De Zerbi his replacement.

@@adambarlow8294when Ineos came in sources told he wasn’t their preference. Then after a blip of performance we’ve been woeful (barring the fa cup). Lately the main Ineos ppl have been in the stands and naturally wouldn’t be happy with what they’ve seen. Well their not gonna tell him anything but reassurances with a fa cup final in the coming weeks. If he wins it and we manage 7th then we have Europa cup next season. Maybe then he’ll stay. I’m just speculating on what I’ve heard in the past on our performances. Surely you gotta admit even with our injuries our defending has been absolutely woeful. It’s basic tactics to close down attackers, like Olise just allowed to shoot for goal, countless more. I like the guy, don’t get me wrong, just want to see improvements as well.

@@danielvilliers612 Did ETH negotiate the price for any of the transfers?!?!?! ETH wanted FDJ Murtough and Arnold failed. United needed a midfielder, those 2 clowns spent £70million on a 30 year-old Casemiro. Real Madrid then got the 20 year-old Bellingham for £89million. The price United paid for players has nothing to do with ETH. Onana, Malacia, Martinez, Hojlund and Mount are good players. Casemiro had a good 1st season but wasn't ETH choice. Antony has struggled ok. Bayinder cost £4million good back up keeper. The rest were loans or free transfers. Did you not here what Ralf Ragnick said "United are a mess, which will take years. a complete new set up ie sporting director. Then a massive clear out of bad players. The injuries have just exposed those issues.

De Zerbi is still an elite coach by all accounts. He just needs better players at the end of the day which Brighton just cannot financially get the players he needs. Also, Branthwaite is overrated.

What makes De Zerbi elite? He's mostly coached a series of lower league italian teams and one season with Shaktar in the ukrainian league. He's won nothing.

Ten Hag literally said it's just about the type of players we've brought in and have at the club that's improved. A lot of those are injured and results haven't been great but that's not what he said

De Zerbi came in & improved on what Potter done but the club is very stable and foundation were laid. Of the managers linked Tuchel looks most capable having managed Bayern, PSG and Chelsea. No compensation....straight swap ETH and Tuchel?

Gary Neville made a great point, loads of these players are on fat contracts and have time on those contracts. First of all, why’d they want to leave and secondly who’d buy them? So we’d take a huge loss and have to pay out their contracts. We will get rid of some players, like Martial (finally) but I wouldn’t expect huge changes.

I think we need to consider - would he want to come here? When there’s Bayern, AC Milan, Juve, Napoli, possibly Barca needing a manager - there’s currently better places for him. No guarantee ten Hag wants to stay here tbh.

De Zerbi would be ruthless and exactly what Ineos would want. However I see him eyeing up the Barcelona or Bayern vacancy. Whether his pedigree gets that job we’ll see. The timing of this is interesting no doubts. Dyche said Everton will sell players too, so Braithwaite (sp?) on his way.

The question is what kind of football we want to play: transitional or possession football. If you want transitional football, stick with ETH; if you want possession football, appoint de Zebri then. The kind of football we want dictates the kind of appointment we should make. Personally, I would have sacked ETH a long time ago, owing to the different kinds of football I want to see at United.

@@dondamon4669 I have said it many, many times. ETH says that he will NOT play possession football at United because he does not want to "Ajaxify United." On more than one occasion, by the way. And how United plays now with no midfield, that's exactly how his Ajax played, too. This current United side is almost identical to his Ajax, tactically speaking. If you still dream that he will play possession football, it is up to you. All the data and stat, both from his Ajax side and current United side, will tell you that ETH is not a possession football coach and will not play possession football. That's just a fact.

I'm genuinely on the fence, if he stays I wont be mad about it, but if he goes, I dont think its a bad decision. I wouldn't suprise me to hear in the huild up to the final something like "Ineos are leaning towards firing Ten Hag, however if he can deliver an FA cup they are willing to give him another year" I personally think if that's not the case, they need to publicly back him before the final.

Bring in tuchel, because he is not a trust the process type of person, and he is insane on cup competitions!! But he is bold & straightforward, he requests board the player he need or else he resigns!....but i also strongly believe to bring back jose, because he was been one of the scapegoats of glazers & knows mych about man utd problems that any manage! But hopefully we have INEOS, ceo, technical director who are much serious about the club decesions , so they might coperate with an experience manager like jose!!

i dont quite understand the hype around De Zerbi, Potter had some outsiders calling his team 'Brighton Munich' then De Zerbi maintained it with improved players such as McCallister/CAseido...then we watched him get 4-0 at Rome..too early, I would not want him at ManU... I could certainly understand going after 10Hag with what he did with Ajax, but De Zerbi I just dont see it..He should go to a West Ham first to really show what he can do.

What's with this thing of needing a potential manager to constantly be lauded in the press every day? They fail too. A manager who seems a good fit can be 10th in the table and still be better than the lad who everyone rants and raves about. De Zerbi is a good manager, no doubt, just a bit inflammatory.

Not looking forward to the whole battle for Europe later! In order for us to make the top 7 we first need to beat my brother's side and then hope my dad's fails to win at brentford! Honestly don't think the scenario could be worse! Do think De Zerbi could be a good appointment but don't expect instant results Greenwood can never play in England again! Needs to be remembered that nothing was proven but he's been convicted by social media as will likely be proven by any replies to this comment! People need to remember that editing software exists before saying anything about the video McKenna is apparently the favourite for the Brighton job! if he is to leave Ipswich that i feel would be a better option

This team as currently cobstituted isn't built or set up to play DeZerbi's brand of football. Stick with Ten Hag, revitalize the team then let's see if things work out. Given Brighton's recent struggles with form and DeZerbi's insistence to play a certain way these players would get him sacked within a season as soon as things get tough.

He isn’t mate. Brighton are a well run club where even Graham Potter can look elite. They fell off second half of the season and nobody in the media batted an eye. Nothing about his CV suggests he’d be the guy to deal with this shit show. Ten Hag has handled so many issues in spite of the glazers, he deserves a chance with a boss who is actually trying to help him.

Get ten hag out the door… football has evolved a lot ten hag plays old traditional football One thing about traditional style of play is it’s too rigorous which makes players get injured a lot. The players aren’t as Strong as they used to be. This days games is more tactical and maintaining possession… ten hag will keep getting our players injured if he stays 😅

In terms of money spent united should finish 1st or 2nd while brighton should finish 15th united finished 8th and Brighton 10th so ten hag did terribly and de zerbi great considering the resources used.

Zidane?, mourinho (wants a round 2), Xavi, Tuchel ??… I agree in rating De Zerbi. I like his ideology and work ethic, and no bs approach. Reckon he’d sort the dressing room and ditch the driftwood. Plus the talent he’s brought through Brighton is admirable.
