The Dead Boy Detectives have a run in with the Cat King.
Edwin and Charles are best friends, ghosts… and the best detectives on the Mortal plane. They will do anything to stick together - including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal and her friend Niko, they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.
Dead Boy Detectives is based on the beloved comic series from Neil Gaiman, and a new addition to The Sandman Universe for Netflix.

@@lunarcat632 Be careful saying that since Lockwood and Co came LONG AFTER Dead Boy Detectives. These characters were first published in 1991, and had their own comics from 2001. Lockwood and Co first was published in 2013... Sounds like your 'literal recreation' might actually be the original and your fave is the rip off... It's really important to know the facts.

Lukas Gage's career got a huge post when around the time of the pandemic, he was doing a Zoom audition from his apartment and the director, not realizing he hadn't muted his end of the call, started negatively critiquing Gage's New York apartment seen in the background! Gage was very affable about the whole thing and posted it on his social media account. It was probably the best thing that could have happened to Gage.

the first time i watched this scene in-show i was a silly head and had prepped for "king of cats,,, does this mean a Dream cameo???" and got disappointed, but in hindsight and upon rewatch this is SUCH a good character intro, i love edwin & cat king's dynamic so much

Dead Boy Detectives is based off a Neil Gaiman series. This trailer really gives more Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency vibes if you're gonna be equating shows.

Lockwood and Co is actually the poor man’s version of Dead Boy Detectives. It’s just Warner Bros had the DBD rights originally, so Netflix had to initially settle for the lesser story that was L&C.

@@strangerthingsandmoreeddieThis is a spinoff of The Sandman (2022). The Dead Boy Detectives were previously on an episode of Doom Patrol (2019) that came out in 2021. Lockwood & Co came out in 2023. The logos look nothing alike. If you want more content, you can read the rest of the books, at least.
