He played that character in a way that makes you fall in love with the character. Five is easily one of my favorite characters & I'd say its mostly because of Aidan. His facial expressions & mannerisms always caught my eye when I binged the series.

Uhm, after going through all hes achieved by the age of 17, I would whole heartedly consider him an adult. Dont know what hes accomplished, treat yourself and then go back and watch the show and see how completely different he is as a person to who is on screen. Im assuming he particularly loves playing this character since he rarely if ever gets to act that way in his personal life. Id love to have a beer with the dude though.

i remember when i first started watching umbrella academy and seeing 5s actor being the kid from the show my little siblings always watched, i really wasnt expecting a lot from a kid changing from a kids show to this, but man all my expectations were surpassed by so far, he's the best part about this show

Luke Schoberg what about Vanya? She was a very well developed character, and honestly, her struggle with her memories and emotions kept me hooked on the whole doomsday storyline. Don’t get me wrong, I love five and klaus, but Vanya really carries it in my opinion. Also, who actually likes Ben?? Sure, the comedy element between klaus and Ben is good, but he’s a really useless character, and he has no personality outside of being dead. The only episode he ever even says anything remotely interesting is that one where he possesses klaus to meet jill

Once he appeared, I thought Aidan Gallagher as No.5 was the best thing in the show. How a teenage actor like him portrayed an elderly man stuck in a child's body, the rage, the smart-aleck dialog, the devotion to his mannikin that kept him sane... Wow. He deserved an EMMY!!

It could also be argued that this whole thing is ultimately his fault. He is the one who has been moving both himself and others from timeline to timeline. If he hadn't jumped into the future when he was a kid maybe everyone would have just died in the apocalypse the first time around and that would be that. Of course where would the fun in that be?

@@aliqadri7328 Ask yourself does Stranger things have any good characters like 5. I watched first 2 seasons I don't remember being impressed by characters. Story telling is superb and story in general at least sci fi/fantasy aspect of it is really well done but Stranger things however lacks flavour in characters.

Adam Azri there not that close Allison is only close with Luther klaus and vanya. 5 is close with 5,Diego,and vanya. And Diego is only close with 5 and klaus. Luther is only close to Allison. And vanya is close with Allison klaus and 5. Ben was sort the peace maker so he was close with everyone.

Tbh though, a shorter list would be of the lines he didnt nail. The casting choice for 5 was spot on. Its also great they got a childish looking adult and not an actual kid so he wont grow much or at all inbetween seasons which most producers who cast young teens always make. The only reason child actors worked in productions like harry potter is because the story itself was supposed to do that but then look at stranger things and the story took place where it left off but production took so long most of the cast hit puberty and they had to struggle with shoots when it came to the cast all being on the same frames. Like in dumb and dumber, they had to have Jim carey standing on boxes and had to do their acting while actually standin far apart because of how freakishly tall Daniels is lmao. Awe, movie mf magic fam.

It's truly remarkable how he's the only teenager in the squad but has to play an adult, pulls it off perfectly, has the best scenes, the most important role and basically carries the show on his shoulders. (I also love Klaus a lot)
