1. Where's TJ Rotolo at 2. Why even re-voice the game, surely the original vocal tracks can't be that bad? But maybe it's because they're doing whole performance capture. That's probably why.

A bit strange that they aren't reading the room to reuse old talent or voice clips. MGS3 remake understood this, but I guess it is a newer announcement. Perhaps, it means that it isn't a very faithful release but more of a reimagining like RE2Make/RE3Make.

Counter point regarding MGS3; it is Konami making the game. I doubt it has to do with the fan base wanting to the original voice actors and more along the lines of its cheaper to reuse the original voice recordings.

It is much cheaper to reuse old archive audio AND Konami are aware of how much people want Hayter and company enough that they had David in multiple of the marketing videos so far. They are also aware of how the rerecording in The Twin Snakes went, so they are against taking the risk of redubbing the whole game. Given that remasters and remakes of games are basically laundering old IP even when they go out of their way to be different (REMake 3, FF7 Remake)... I can't fault them too much for cutting corners in the exact way that may make people happy.

Capcom if you want this to be a hit PLEASE allow us to opt-in for the old voice lines in the settings or something. I get you already have the new voicework done, but just give us the option to bring back classic Frank for the fans. You could even do the RE Remaster thing where you can play as old blobby Frank as a skin

Personally, I'm not to worried about the voice, I'm just glad Dead Rising is coming back. And hey, I don't even mind the voice that much tbh. Yeah, it's sad that they didn't get the original VA, but I care more about gameplay above all else in general honestly.

Frank not only looks 30 years older, but also like he’s suffering from severe mental illness. I hope we get the option to keep the old voice acting. And this seems to be somewhere between a remaster and a remake, so maybe we can hope for a sandbox mode and better NPC AI? Still, I would have preferred if they would just add controller support for DR2 and OTR for PC.

I wonder how much of a remaster will it be ? Same game with just better updated graphics and voices (that doesn't like TJ Rotolo and with potential multi-language) or will it have new content, weapons, psychopaths, some QoL stuff. I'll keep an eye on it and prolly will buy it in hopes to bring DR back.
