This series was so good. It's a shame that the mangaka's health failed and controversy surrounding the director has tainted it (and probably killed any chance of a continuation). The mature characters as well as the (albeit unbelievable) interactions between game and real life both set it apart. It definitely holds up as superior to other game crossover anime (looking at you, Yamada 999).

Definitely a must watch. Sucks that no second season has been released though. I love mature romance. Sadly they're rare.

I rather enjoyed this anime. I am a sucker for a good romcom. For me I enjoyed the more mature side of it and was glad to see older side of people and problems. Of course it is a lot easier for me to relate since I am an older individual and been around the block a few times. I would have loved a 2nd season but I had also read somewhere the author had got sick. I figured by now the author would have done more but I have not looked for some time. Since you have nothing new that certainly does not sound any better. It really is to bad, we could use mor material like this or a continuation.

there is a german dub of it, which means it's very likely a good anime. To share a little irl story: I was playing 2on2 arena in WoW with some guy I randomly met and we played like for months (but always without voice) and I didn't know anything about him. Well and at some day we randomly ran into each other in a McDonald's. He just overheard our conversation about the game (we were a group of 4) and then he literally just called me my online name lmao asking if that's me. Some of my stories sounded just too familiar LOL. W became great friends. Funny as fuck. What are the chances?
