I only recently got into actually attempting to run 16-star so I've watched a lot of these videos from a number of creators. This one has been by far the most helpful and also fun to watch. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and encouraging everyone to make those attempts on the harder tricks to save time, much appreciated :)

Heyo! Might be a little late but I found another tip for canonless. After trying it hundreds of times and only getting it once, I looked at my controller inputs since I'm on EMU and realized the analogue stick range was set to only 63%. Once I set it to 100% (and checked the 'Real N64 Range' box, although I'm not sure what that is exactly) I was able to get Canonless pretty much 98% of the time and super consistently. Hope this helps other first time runners!

Great tutorial! Loved that you explained some of the finer details of this run, like the movement in between levels - other tutorials mostly explain only how to get the stars. 16-star is so fun to learn, having a blast.

Thanks for the tutorial! I heard people meming that this one isn't as great, but so far I think it's really well explained (aside from some mix ups with names like sideflip/backflip). I have watched so much mario speedrunning stuff, and it's interesting to watch, but i haven't played mario 64 since when I was a kid. I'm gonna boot up Mario today and try to follow this tutorial :)
