Man, I have watched tons and tons of videos from the best guys (Thrall, Cavaliere, Nippard) and though they had good advice, you have such a great way of explaining things and demonstrating with examples and easy to understand cue. This one was super helpful-the squat cue list was a real game changer for me. Thank you!

This is the best deadlift video I have seen so far, very excited to watch the in depth video! I mainly do bodybuilding but I love the content you're putting out. I use to deadlift very frequently and got up to pulling 425lbs. Weighing 155, I thought I was doing it right and thought as long as your back is straight your fine. Can't wait to use these tips and get back up to lifting some damn weight!

This is a super helpful video man!! I'm 19 and haven't ever done powerlifting type training but I hit a 525 deadlift at 165 bodyweight last week and put up a vid of it thinking it was a lot but seeing what people are capable of, I have some work to do and now am trying to make that an even more stronger lift. THANK YOU!!!!

This is the best advice I’ve heard. I might have heard similar cues so maybe it was the way you explained it. I just attempted a PR today with 4 plates (lifting for 13 months so yeah I have a ways to go) using your PR % jump video advice. Worked really well till 405 happened and now reflecting I realize I did not feel as tight as you explain here. I have tried belly breaths at the top rather than below and I feel so much more uncomfortable doing it this way but this 405 I didn’t do that so I’m guessing that was my issue. You’re my fave youtuber Brian. So glad you’re making these. I’m learning daily. Thanks so so much for real.

The squat video helped me better than any other video. It completely eliminated any lower back tightness i use to get after heavy squats (or lighter weight higher reps for hypertrophy). Im definitely gonna use these cues for the deadlift! I already know its gonna help. My biggest issue for the Dl is my grip. Im good at activating my glutes and quads, thus leaving my lower back out of it

Hey, Brain! I see that you're trying to get strong. You should try out Mark Rippetoe's general strength 5x5 program. If you do it for a year, I bet you'll add slabs of muscle to your frame, and gain 100lbs on all of your lifts! It will make you as strong as an animal!!! I'm kidding, by the way hahaha. This is such a great video. Im actually deadlifting today, so I'll try this out! Thanks!

What is your recommendation for how to re-breathe and brace in between reps/within a set? I think you mentioned holding your air for the whole set but I find that when doing sets of 5 deadlifts at 80+% 1rm I just can't do that and maintain pressure (or consciousness for that matter). I apologize if this was already covered somewhere, I went through all (I think) of your DL videos and the breathing and bracing one again to check and didn't see any such advice.

I have a question; can anyone offer their advice? The main problem I am having with my deadlifts is that by the time I setup, my quads are absolutely burning, and I haven't even pulled the bar for a rep yet. Any suggestions to help with this problem, aside from maybe becoming quicker on my setup?
