Great track. I like the build up and the warm atmosphere of the track. Also good use of reverb and delay. Just enough and not cluttered.

awesome jam! love the tasteful use of filters, and your chords voice lead really well into each other. next time, put your camera on manual focus and dial it in before starting to record - that'll eliminate the video drifting in and out of focus every few seconds. looking forward to more music!

WoW! nicely done, great use of sound design, effects and delay filling an interesting stereo field. Your sound made me realize I am never going to get the wonderful sound you are getting from your great synths using my Casio. I worked for 4 hours today on two sequences and sound design on the Casio, but a weak sound is all I am going to get. (Casio WK7600). A poor person must work with what we can afford....:(

If you have a pc or Mac you’ll get a lot closer to this sound using soft synths and effects. Still not cheap but less expensive than a full hardware setup. You can then add things like the Behringer Model D and slowly build from there.
@WildernessMusic_GentleSerene
@WildernessMusic_GentleSerene 5 жыл бұрын
@@leftmono1016 Yes, thank you. I have two softsynths; Arturia Keylab and SampleTank. Obviously neither of these are for a sound designer, so I use them rarely. The other problem is I get physically ill attempting to sound design on a computer...to me it is like sound designing on hardware using chopsticks. So hardware is my only consideration for music making and sound design...and I record to hardware 24track so a computer is not involved at all during the creation process. This computer-less workflow has increased my productivity by 2000%. In the past year I have composed, performed and recorded more music than in my entire lifetime.

Wilderness Music - I do know what you mean about working within a computer, to be honest I feel the same way in terms soft synths. They're a nice cheap alternative and folk achieve some amazing results but tweaking sounds using a mouse just isn't for me. However, I do need a sequencer so after trying various hardware options over the years I went back to computer sequencing which is so much easier and more flexible, especially when routing various hardware and arranging. If you get chance to try a Korg MS20 Mini they are pretty amazing in terms of sound design capability against cost. The dual filters and patchbay help a lot with this. You still need some external effects though, mine runs through an MXR M300 reverb which is like a poor man's Strymon but is perfectly fine for my purposes.

@@leftmono1016 Yes I do like the sound of the Korg. I am watching all synths very carefully. Semi-modular is very exciting so a combination of MS20/Moog Mother/Behringer Neutron and maybe an Arturia MiniBrut2, will be in a distant future. For now, the next synth I have my sites on is a Reface CS, 8 voice poly is more practical for me today than a mono synth.
@leftmono1016
@leftmono1016 5 жыл бұрын
I didn’t realise the CS was 8 note poly, that’s decent. Something else that springs to mind for very deep sound design but won’t break the bank, Waldorf Blofeld. It can do analogue emulation (check out Don Solaris’ sound pack on KZfaq) but also really complicated evolving modulation. It’s 16 part multitimbral too.

@@UndulaeMusic I think this track is really well made. I like it lot, and a nice workflow you have. That DeepMind synth sounds incredible.... ofcourse the Model D is just as good a a real moog and is as epic as it's original
