Legit I’m using some BOSE headphones (around 250-300$) and this song is just insane. Joel’s knowledge of mixing and audio engineering really blows your mind with the crisp clean sounds he’s able to get in his music.

I think this is an oversimplication. You are missing the bass line and other synth add ins. There is a lot of progression, one of my favorite things about Deadmau5 is he appears to be simple but really on a deeper dive you notice its not simple.

Joel, I just have to say this because I feel like its unconventional, but this song tapped me into 2013 when I really started listening to your music. I’m a youth pastor, and someone that you probably wouldn’t include in your niche of music, but I have fallen in love with the music you create. It truly takes me to another place and I’m filled with gratitude for what you put into the world because I can’t do it myself. That’s less a comment on my own creativity and more a compliment to yours. If ever you feel like you don’t have purpose or meaning, I want you to know how much it means to me that you are so dedicated to your work and art. It’s a real gift and I’m very happy to be alive to experience it. My students constantly tease me for my Deadmau5 fandom, but it doesn’t matter because there is something beautiful in all of creation. I like that he stayed true to his own formula with this one, building long progressions throughout the entire track. So many new tracks desperately try to grab your attention within the first few seconds due to the streaming service culture (reminds me of tiktok). Anyways, really enjoyed this one!

Same same. I remember finding Strobe when I was, like 12, and playing Minecraft on my laptop with it on. I'll never forget that experience as long as I live. Then every so often he releases something that harkens back to that era and it sends me straight back.

So glad we’re still enjoying his masterpieces over a decade later, def feel like I grew up with Joel’s music. He’s only gotten better with time. Truly a legend.

What I'm saying though is that Deadmau5 is constantly evolving and creating new sounds and songs whereas other artists stagnate and become 1 dimensional. The first time I saw him live was at Coachella and that's when I started listening to all of his music.

It’s not easy to choose, but for me this Joel’s absolute best composition of music. What a masterpiece. I love every single second of this. All the different layers. This is a dramatic statement but I mean it! 😅. It just gets at me on an emotional level that potentially no other song ever has, no matter how many times I’ve heard it! An absolute journey from start to finish. Thank you Deadmau5 for your music.. A literal living legend. I saw you live in Cork - Ireland the day you officially released this song and you finished off the gig with this. I’ll always remember it! Have pretty much had this song on repeat since then haha

Fortunate enough to be a TestPilot to this absolute masterpiece at his set at Brixton Academy last week. Transcendental journey of perfectly laid out progressions with the usual driving, rhythmic beat, in a different dimension to some of his more commercial work. Although there was no #cubev3 I got to see just Joel perfectly arrange a selection of his finest tunes and melt my mind....
