I... I think I can say, with confidence, that I love you. I love your personality, your honesty, your willingness to show up as you are, your sense of humor, your generosity... You are the channel I turn to when I need company, when I'm not feeling my best. Thank you, thank you for sharing your beautiful art work... But also thank you for sharing your beautiful self.

What a beautiful gift of a video. I'm in my 40s and it was very comforting to me to listen to you, because we always need these reminders. And with social media making it seem like everyone else is doing great while perhaps we are not, sharing the authentic human experience, sharing encouragement to persist, sharing reminders that we all struggle, is so important. I was imagining my 20ish year old artist daughters and their peers watching this and thinking about how important this message could be for them. And yea I just wanted to thank you for making this video in just the way that you did. Your art is beautiful and inspiring, and I agree with your choice of editing style, it was easy and peaceful to watch and very well done. KZfaq and Instagram metrics are not an accurate reflection of whether a person is touching lives with their art. Neither is income. So many metrics can make it seem like you're in competition with every creator and ranked from successful to not. And there is something about that, that entirely misses what it is to be human and a creative. You really touched me today. I hope as an artist the idea of having deeply touched individuals that are exposed to something you created, brings you a sense of satisfaction that can't be measured in numbers. ❤️

I'm so proud of you and honored that you choose to share more facets of your Self and realities of the business. The honest picture you are painting here is one of the many reasons why we love and will always be with you, Tina. You truly are a wonder, because you are a human being that is open to the universe. I hope your heart finds joy in little unexpected things today, like your video did for me. This artwork is absolutely stunning and the real time process was super chill, too. It matches your soul.

I do that with movies and shows when I need to focus. It’s like you said, it gives stimulation already so you don’t need to seek it in more obstructive ways like doom scrolling. Especially when it’s something you’ve watched a million times and you don’t need to watch it to know what’s happening.

It’s so cathartic to hear another artist basically mirror my feelings when my creativity just feels like it got dropped on the floor and broken to bits. It can really cause a dent in your self image if you don’t FEEL like you’ve done something productive or like you’ve not improved after a long period of hard effort. The hardest part for me is knowing that others around me pick up on my negativity and it effects them as well, so there’s an added pressure to try and “force myself to enjoy it” so I don’t upset other people

*Me comparing my art and channel following to Tina.* *Tina* Don’t compare your art to others *Me* Oops Seriously though, it is comforting to hear that even successful artists, like yourself, feel like this sometimes; and that it’s normal and ok to feel that way, but also that just because you might feel like you’re not doing well as an artist, doesn’t mean you’re not. It’s just perspective. ✨🌙⭐

Thank you for keeping in mind how time lapse speed effects the viewer. I used to be super discouraged by videos going so fast and my own art taking so long and not coming out well on the first try. It’s especially confusing when it comes to paint because it takes time to dry. And it’s so annoying when people label a video a tutorial but it’s super time lapsed. I appreciate the way you film and edit because of your low speed time lapses and real time bits you include, plus when you show your mistakes and show your heat gun to make the paint dry faster ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing some more of the realities of being a full-time artist. ❤ Especially with time-lapse, speed-draw videos! As an art teacher, I constantly have to remind my students not to compare their own process to those videos. They either rush and sacrifice their quality, or feel down that they can't create as fast as others. So thank you for being another voice for that message!

i remember seeing this piece on instagram and i was SHOOK 😱💖 so seeing it come together and hearing about the behind the scenes of how you were feeling and stuff felt even nicer because of that connection 🥺 gosh there's so many things i enjoy about this drawing, the way you used the paper, the white contrasting with everything, and i especially love the foliage in the back!!! That sort of fade from the dark shadows to the leaves peeking out is something i've wanted to try for so long! it really looks wonderful and i love how all the elements work together 🥰also video wise this is always a nice topic to hear people's opinions on, especially independent artists 🤧

Oh, Tina. There are so many things I want to say, like, how well timed this video is! Personally I've been trying to be more casual about making art and not beating myself up on days I don't make anything. I've actually been really enjoying posca markers and holbein acrylic gouache, neither of which I wouldn't have tried without you showing them off first! I work at an art supply store and namedrop you to whoever I think would enjoy your channel because it's always felt like sitting down with a friend. I think you have this great ability to be on a relatable level with people like we're just chilling at a studio discussing anime and other media. I'm happy to be a part of your community and being a cheerleader on the sidelines as you develop. I hope it helps to know how much you've impacted not just me, but everyone who sits down to watch 💜

I have a lot of issues concentrating because of my mental health issues, and this (along with other issues) really prevents me from tackling specific tasks. For some reason I convinced myself that the only valuable effort I can make towards my goal is by solely focusing on it without any form of 'distraction'. And while that is my ideal, I think I would be much more likely to make any progress at all if I just did it while watching something in the background. So hearing you say that is a method you use to get work done while suffering from artists block is really validating. Like there isn't anything wrong or invalid with working in that specific way, especially if you are struggling.

Being in school and just starting to look into the business side of things, I feel like I'm so behind lol. What a great video! Love the art work, but also that you're honest about the struggles. I feel that a big challenge is the stretch between being an artist and being a content creator and running a business. It's a constant challenge to balance all those roles. Where my art is best when there's space and time for flow and play, the content and business part come with numbers, goals and deadlines. But on those occasions when all of these do come together, it's the best, right?

I love this piece so much... your art style is so amazing and I am always in awe when it comes to your style of drawing and painting women So beautiful and magical 😍 You are a huge inspiration to me and you are actually the main reason why I dared starting to draw portraits ❤ I also draw and I ALWAYS have to have on a movie or a TV show when I´m drawing... it´s at the point where I simply cannot draw if I don´t have anything on in the background 😅 and yes... it´s always something I have watched several times before I´ve recently become deeply invested in K-pop (again I should say cause I have been deep in it several years ago) and now I´m plowing through all songs by SKZ, BTS and Ateez.. these three bands are my main focus right now when it comes to music 😄 As for solo artists I cannot get over Agust D and JHope.. so I guess BTS influenced me there as well😁 Sorry for a very long and maybe not so interesting comment.. A lot of art KZfaqrs experienced a sudden drop of views this year. I wonder what they changed in the algorithm.

Such a pretty painting! Love the color palette on this one. Do you find you struggle with the gansai paints lifting too much? You seem to be layering plenty, and I haven't noticed the paint getting patchy.

Thank you!! I think it might be because this particular watercolour paper is very absorbent? I also recommend making sure your previous layer is totally dry before the next layer of paint

Sometimes I wonder if making KZfaq videos is worth It. I spend hours making them and they get 100 views on a good day.
