Shock G created the Humpty character he did on stage. Back in the day he used to tell the media ridiculous stories about how he got the nose. I remember hearing him telling someone on the radio that he worked at a fast food place and got his nose burned up with hot oil so he covered up his nose and other stuff just to build up hype and play on the comedy about the Humpty Hump character.

Haha, a little explicit, yeah, try "Freaks of the Industry" by Digital Underground. I was a sophomore in High School when this album came out. I would make sure my parents NEVER heart me listening to this song but you better believe it was played at every single house party all throughout high school. Also, it's funny you mention MC Hammer because he and Digital Underground are from Oakland, Ca. and that's also where I'm writing you from. Also, I'm sure someone else already mentioned it but Tupac was in Digital Underground too.

It's the ridiculous level of pausing that gets me just like this. This channel can be so good, but you guys just don't have the patience. Fascinating now, looking back. By the mid to late '90s, when rap was mostly N.W.A. style gansta rap, or a guy next to the pool with several scantily clad honeys sashaying around the pooldeck, great songs like this were retro. They would have commercials on tv all the time selling "Fun Rap" CDs and cassettes of songs like this one, Young MC, De La Soul and others from the late '80s & early '90s. It had already changed so much in a few years, people soon longed for the good old days, less than 10 years later😊

Just to clarify: [This might be obvious but...] Harriet Tubman didn't "build" an "underground railroad" in the physical sense.. She started, participated and led a movement in the process of transporting slaves under the radar of law enforcement and other Federal, State, regional, and local enforcement authorities of that time. Just wanted to clarify that for any who don't know/appreciate historical, factual information. For more information: Google Harriet Tubman. You can also read a basic overview here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harriet_Tubman
