How to repair a Hilti TE905 hammer that starts up but will not keep running.

Thisbis the Hilti TE905 demolition hammer. A fantastic they where, I still get these old girls in for repair. A lot of these machines would have been ex hire tools that where sold on. But because they are so well made, most are still up and running today.
This would be a common problem with them, the speed pick up ring braking of or coming loose.
An easy and cheap part to replace on it's own, but getting to it is not easy.
This TE905 also had a few bad bearings and an oil leak to repair.

To reset the hours on some of the older Hilti tools you can use a service reset tool. Hilti srt. I’m not sure if they are still available for order but it’s worth contacting Hilti to ask. It won’t work on everything but I think it will work on te 1000 and some older stuff Other older tools like the te 76, te 60 gen 1, te 56, if the service light comes on, pull the grip off the tool, this will disconnect the motor from the electronics, plug the grip in while it’s disconnected, hold the switch for 10-15 seconds. Sometimes you need to unplug the cord while still holding the switch. But for those older tools that’s how the hours get reset

@Dean Doherty Is the "grease" you fill in the hammer housing different from the Turmopol 20HD you fill in the gear housing? Also, is there an equivalent oil to the Turmopol 20HD?

Hello, I am a Installer I have a te 905 Hilti I use to remove ceramic tile. It only breaks the tile when I turn it off, so I switch it on and off fast to keep it working. Can you tell what part I need to fix it. Thanks, Love the videos

Are un oring din cauciuc care formează presiunea in pompa de bătaie. Acel oring sau inel de cauciuc trebuie schimbat. Sa uzat și nu mai formează presiune.
