1) Upon seeing the video intro......Too many N’Sync jokes to pick just one. 2) I’m loving Deanston too, but haven’t been able to find any of the wine-finished bottles yet. 3) When someone asks who’s gonna win the NBA, I always feel the Cavs will never be in that conversation ever again. I like most of the Deanston expressions that I haver had yet I haven't seen this one... No wonder! It's a travel exclusive and I haven't done much traveling in quite a while.

This makes me want to open my 2008 9 year. Really glad I found that at Vine & Table during the Compass Box event. We never seem to get bottles like this in MI. I’ve seen pictures of the 10 year but didn’t realize it was lower abv than the 9year, and that it is travel retail. Great notes/review!

George Kaplan The 2008 is a little hot at first from the sample that I had but after some time in the glass and a few drops of water it gets incredible. It has flavor on the level of ECBP or a good Longrow Red as far as intensity of flavor.

I'm a little boy that loves berries and cream. Great quote my friend! I'm glad to know the Dalmore sent moves on! Fruit certainly seemed like the focus here. Lots of red, lots of berry. Interesting. I tend to love anything Deanston so likely I would pick this up if I ever see it. Thanks for the review.

Enjoyed the sample of this, but had a bottle of the 9yr Bordeaux red wine cask full maturation cask strength open so it kind of got run over by that monster. Have a sample of that set aside for you. Cheers Guy's

Went through my bottle very quickly, all to easy to drink. I enjoyed it and will probably get around to getting another bottle.

Went through a bottle of this a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! Loved the tannins of the Red Wine cask helping tone down the sweetness of the Deanston malt, though I had that initial nose you mentioned re: Dalmore. Not that I thought of Dalmore, but there was something a bit so-so... a few drops of water did wonders for it, though! Almost too easy to drink by the end :)

I remember when I was 12, Keith. Bleaching dark brown hair turned me into a ginger as well. Honey crisp is the best apple, but a granny smith with salt is great. Raps for the repeat. What do you think about your Blue Jackets facing my Leafs in the NHL? Cheers gents 🥃🇨🇦🇺🇲

My favourite Deanston is the cask strength Bordeaux. I have two more Deanstons on order, cream sherry and organic oloroso, that hopefully are of similar quality.

The Deanston 2008, 9 year cask strength Bordeaux finish is the one you want. Love Deanston, just picked up the 1997 Palo Cortado finish that was just released in Ontario (better late than never)

I agree I have had both and the 2008 9yr definitely wins. Cask Strength versus 46.3 is not really a fair fight though but yeah it is definitely better

@@djbeacon1942 Still have a 10 PX unopened,, went through the first fairly quick. There are some new releases like the 1997 Palo Cortado, 2002 Organic Sherry Cask among others out there as well that just now hit Ontario but were released in 2019.
