Found/Tonight is a great mashup that Ben made with Lin Manuel Miranda.

The trailer gives me chills every time I watch it. I understand why people may be upset that Ben Platt is playing Evan given that he doesn’t look like a teenager, but it’s really HIS role and I think it’s fitting that we get to see him as Evan in the movie. Plus he’s just an incredible actor/singer

This was the best well-put-together trailer I think I've ever seen. They covered the whole plot of the movie in 3 minutes, without really spoiling anything for people who hadn't seen it. Phenomenal.

I think this trailer is amazing, I also think it's a fake out, in a good way. Directors of Wonder and Perks, they are branding it as a feel good, triumphant movie (some parts are), which is smart. But like you said, this show/movie will ruin people (again in a good way) and if they are going in, strictly from this trailer, I'm worried they won't have enough tissue available, not knowing what's about to happen to them LOL!! I've never seen this as a live musical, but I'm still obsessed with all the songs and I legit watched the trailer 5 mins after it came out and I almost cried, which is super rare, and I can't wait! She does these incredible covers, and has played Eponine in Les Mis for NZ, and I think she's a fan of your work, too! Hey Hannah, what a heatfelt reaction. This production resonates so much with me, I always hoped there would be a movie of it with Ben Platt reprising the role. I couldn't watch the musical, I only saw the clips I found online and I read the book. I cried watching the trailer, it seems like it's going to be a great adaptation. I wanted to ask you what are your thoughts about Ben being too grown up for the role, I've read lots of criticisms about his hair and about his castmates looking so much younger. Some people wanted Andrew Barth Feldman or Sam Tutty to play Evan and, from what I've seen, I'm sure both could've been great, but they're not Ben. Maybe I'm a little bias because I'm a huge Ben Platt fan. What do you think?

If you haven't seen the mash up of Found/Tonight you should definitely watch it. It's with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt, however a warning would be you could get super emotional with it.

This trailer made me feel so many things at once! I was so excited that they finally did it and the trailer was out, I was stunned because of the amazing Ben Platt, and I was crying because of the song and because the story is so sad. I’m so excited for this movie!!!

Glad you loved it like I did and didn’t worry that Ben looks a little older than high school - like so many critics. That’s not the important part. The story has literally saved lives. I hope it saves more.

Awesome reaction ! Full disclosure - I'm obsessed with this show so not objective in any way lol. I think the trailer is amazing. It's beautifully shot and edited to provide a nice broad outline of the plot without giving too much away. And there's actually lots of quick sneak peaks of many of the songs like For Forever, Sincerely, Me, Only Us, Words Fail, So Big/So Small. If you go back and watch it a few hundred times as I have, you'll notice many shots of Evan with Connor. The one that really gets me is near the end you see the back of the 2 of them walking arm-in-arm down a road, most likely from For Forever. Also the solo shot of Evan sitting on the bench at the orchard...ugh will need at least one whole box of tissues to get through this movie. If you're interested, they've started running TV commercials that feature "Waving Through a Window" as the background music. So far there are 2 different ones. They are posted on my channel and they show quite a few new shots of Ben singing some of it and how that song will be performed in the movie, as well as other new scenes not in this original trailer.

I was watching this with complete chills. And when I saw Hannah tear up I wanted to give her the biggest happy hug ever.
