She gave him hints in their last podcast that she only saw him as a friend. That was bold to shoot your shot on camera. I felt uncomfortable for her, but she handled herself well

Thank you Essence for allowing the phone conversation to be aired to demonstrate to women how important it is to deliver delicate information to a man with grace, class and style so that he walks away empowered and not injured - something women of this age are so notorious for doing...being intentional in their pursuit to injure and not uplift. ✌🏽♥️🙏🏽

I have so much respect for Essence for the way she spoke the truth in love to Latteras. That’s a hard thing to do, but it shows how much she cares for her friends.

I didn’t see that phone call coming, but the vulnerability, honestly and just y’all being grown was so real, and though I cringe, it was amazing because it shed a weight and an understanding that it’s okay on both sides, you shooting your shot and she being true to herself. It was indeed LIT.
