From his own mouth he is living his life in happiness back in his community with his family and lifelong friends. He lost his joy in the game when his father passed. He missed the true happiness that he had as a kid and longed for it. He gave it all up to get it back. Kudos to him for that they're aren't many people who've had the world at their feet who've had the guts to do that

This story of ( to me ) definitely 1 of the greats broke my heart hearing you tell it, this man absolutely loved his father , he was he’s hero and more and I can totally relate . The exact thing happened to me when I lost my father , for 3 years that broke me , the pain was unreal , I’m just starting to heal now , sometimes, a love that powerful, being taken away from you is just to hard to get over , I loved watching this guy play , he was phenomenal, that left foot had a power like no other , I really hope that he’s ok in his life and I pray that he finds peace in due time , God bless you Adriano and thank you for sharing your special gift with the world 🙏🏽❤️👌🏽🌟💪🏽

One important point about the spell in São Paulo Libertadores match against Fluminense was how Thiago Silva was able to mark him, always keeping up and anticipating his moves while being injured. Adriano was still a monster and absurdly dominant at this point, I remember him against my team in which the it looked like an adult playing against kids, yet an injured young defender, which never was phisically imposing, such as Thiago Silva was able to keep up with him. To me, going against a great striker while injured is one of the greatest marks of generational talent as a defender, I remember being in awe when I watched the 94' WC finals in which Baresi was able to storm the weather against Romário and Bebeto, one of the brazilian greatest duos while at every stoppage his teammates were checking on him and helping him stretch, seeing Thiago Silva doing something similar was the day I saw that Thiago Silva would be great.

Such a shame...so much talent, shooting power, physical strength, skill, and flair, creativity, plus a good amount of pace, and he scored many incredible goals and really had an eye for finding the back of the net and a penchant for the spectacular. He had done a lot for Brazil and Inter domestically already at a young age and had so much potential...I still wonder what he could've accomplished had he not fallen apart following the tragic loss of his father.

Moving video and a tragic story i wish this man all the best! You're channel is incredible and you deserve more credit for making these videos, i like the details you include like the players childhood, overall background and mentality . My suggestion would be a video about Klose if you want to make it some day that is.He didn't hit the peak Adriano couldn't maintain or produced numbers like Owen,Shevchenko and Torres in their prime but from his first season at Werder Bremen until his second season with Bayern those five seasons were exceptional and underrated in my opinion and he even was decent and reliable when starting his career and towards the end of it.This is a striker with 330goals for Homburg,Kaiserslautern,Bremen,Bayern,Lazio and Germany more than Torres for his clubs and country, not saying that this makes him better than Torres and as a Chelsea fan i love Torres but to show just how long he maintained a minimum level which is hard to grade

Adriano a very complete striker but for me the problem was when he decided to stay at Intermilan even when Scolari wanted to bring him to Chelsea. But Adriano was perfection..he could drible around opponents, he had speed, good linkup with teammates n that sweet left foot. At the 2004copa n 2005confederations he was on fire. @@arfenmalik1717 I think you misunderstand mate, lukaku is a big pudding in my eyes, I support Utd so I know exactly what he can and can’t do and he hold nothing compared to Adriano, what I mean is by today’s standards the striker position is in serious decline, I remember in the 90’s England alone had so many amazing strikers, it was the most important position, the last 15 years has seen that decline with more emphasis on wide forwards coming in on their stronger foot to score, like Sallah for Liverpool so lukaku who is an out an out striker is seen as world class, I don’t think so cus ive watched some of the greatest strikers and lukaku doesn’t come close!

I can definitely say as a Liverpool fan, Roy is the one who should be compared to Gerrard and not Scholes. Keane was much much better than Scholes at Man Utd. He was head and shoulders above Scholes when they both were playing alongside each other.

@@neilmoore5387 are you seriously saying Scholes when he was playing anywhere near Gerrard/Lampard or even Keane level?? If Scholes hadn’t changed his position as deep lying playmaker at the end of his career, you wouldn’t even be here making an argument about Scholes being a genuine world class player. Fit Santi Cazrola is one of the name that comes to my mind who was better than Scholes even when Scholes was winning league while playing as a deep lying playmaker role too. So don’t give me that bullshit about Scholes being in the same class as Gerrard/Lampard/keane when they all were playing their best game consistently for large part of their careers.

@@debindralimbu381 no need to get vexed. Not arguing with you. Scholes best about. Have you googled plaudits yet? Zidane “ I am not the best midfielder. Paul Scholes is”. Xavi , Messi, Henry. Figo “ You can’t get near him during the game and you can’t catch him after it”. Google it all. Fucking Santi Corzola ? He’s been injured and had to retire for about 8 years. No he was class but I won’t argue with you about Scholes. So you’re saying all the top players are wrong. Messi. “ He was often talked about at La Masia. He was like a teacher “. When Becks was at Madrid all the dressing room used to ask about him. He’s always been able to ping a ball 60 yards to feet. Granted he started as a striker behind Eric or Hughes but played most his career as a central midfielder. If Keano went forward Scholes sat and vice versa. Who do you support incidentally?

Looking for the Diego Forlan. 2010 world cup some of hits goals from outside the box were insane. I was a huge Uruguay fan just from watching him play that year. He was on another level from everyone else.

As a brazilian who lives in Rio, Adriano is quite a figure here, loved by most, not comprehended by many, however, he is living well, has many properties throughout the city, but loves the place he comes from, the favela
Anderson was the next Ronaldinho, but then he spiraled out of control
