Technically, his official name is Professor Zoom. “Reverse-Flash” is just a title to every archenemy of the Flash, there’s also The Rival, Inertia and one who is just Zoom. Thawne going by Reverse-Flash was just in the CW show.

Thawne is a descendant of Barry’s long lost twin; Malcolm Thawne aka Cobalt Blue. Barry’s son also got with someone from the future Thawne lineage and made Bart Allen aka Impulse. Her dad made a clone of Bart called Thaddeus Thawne aka Inertia.
