Heya Ken and Beth, hope you’re both doing well. Sorry to take up some time, just thought I’d pass this along. Not sure if you heard the news, but a couple of days ago, RoosterTeeth (the show that owns Death Battle and several other great series) was shut down by WarnerBros, and its employees were laid off. Currently the show is on hiatus amidst this, and its future is still uncertain. Just thought to keep you in the know, and to ask please keep supporting the show and its staff, who are currently trying to find some ways of keeping afloat. Any help is appreciated, whether spreading the news or just having some kind words for the writers, animators, musicians and voice actors. They could definitely use it right now. Anyways that’s all, take care and stay awesome.

Fun fact, the letter on Wario's hat isn't technically a "W". It's actually an upside-down "M". The proof is his brother's hat. The letter in Waluigi's hat is a mirror-reflection (vertically flipped) of the first letter of Luigi's name.

probably one of the wierdest deaths in the shows history. also this episode comes before the one that declared nuclear war on an entire fandom so... kinda fitting it ends with a giant fart, cus thats an accurate description of what it feels like to actually debate ben vs hal. still love both those episodes tho

Technically it was the fandom who couldn't bother to do some research. Death Battle got the episode right but they left the critical research in black boxes or their blogs. Maybe not their smartest choice.

"I wanna call him King Dende! From Dragonball!" We all know Dedede would far surpass Super Kami Guru in the sheer mass of self appointed titles. Also fun fact about Dedede--that quacking laugh he has is from Smash Bros, where he's voiced by Masahiro Sakurai! And in the English dub of the Kirby anime he's voiced by Ted Lewis, who you may remember as Giovanni from Pokémon.

One of the more fun Death Battles as I really liked the use of all the sprites. I didn’t even know Dedede had a sprite for being angry. Might be a customized one for this show. Oh yeah, speaking of this show. With Rooster Teeth shutting down, the stuff you guys watch from them will definitely be on hiatus. Shame, but I kind of saw it coming.

I wonder what is going to happen to Death Battle. They are owned by Rooster Teeth, and Warner Brothers just announced that they are shutting Rooster Teeth down. It’s really sad to see but some saw it coming as soon as Warner Brodhers bought RT and decided to leave early.

He used to be. This was recently retconned in Forgotten Land Edit: For context, in Forgotten Land’s amusement park area, there’s a sign with measurements that put Kirby at about 3 feet tall, which would make Dedede about 6 feet tall. Despite this, Kirby’s 8-inch tall measurement is so famous that it’s still used in sites and outside descriptions

Not sure if this affects the results at all, but the Star Children of the Mario series have even crazier feats under their belt than what DB has shown so far - like a more common Yoshi launching Raphael Raven far enough to become a distant constellation in seconds, Bowser surviving the collapse of a mid-sized black hole (in a Mario Party title, no less), or Mario, Peach, Bowser, and two others matching the time-and-space-consuming power of Culex and his similarly-powerful crystals. DB's also yet to show Kirby's own limitless might - but much like Superman, it's hard to think of a truly fair matchup with him by now.

A very nice Death Battle, next how about doing Smokey Bear vs McGruff the Crime Dog, if you haven’t already? Also, i highly recommend doing Super Mario Bros. Z at some point, it’s a very interesting Series.

I was really surprised you guys both went for Wario here, especially right after hearing that Dedede had likely planet busting strength and potentially ridiculous speed. Though I suppose versatility and unpredictability can really make the difference soemtimes.

They just didn't understand how the numbers worked and didn't know a septilion is a thousand times greater then a sextilion. Then again, saying one can survive the destruction of a moon while the other can blow up a planet should make it pretty obvious too, since moons are smaller then even dwarf planets.

The biggest thing that always irked me about that fight is that they didn't take into consideration the Great Sacred Treasure for Pit's arsenal. Even if it might not have changed the outcome, they should have at least made it a factor in the fight. The fact they left it out, can't help but make me think there was some favoritism going on towards Sora.
