you can tell by the way he closes his eyes that he’s literally singing from another place... whatever was in his mind is a mystery but man does it make an amazing performance that makes you wonder been a fan since I was 11. I’m 23 now.

This might actually be my favorite version of the song. Simple, yes, but there's definitely beauty to it. And I like the cleaner sound to Ben's vocals.

The pain shows in the music and lyrics. And the pain is made into beautiful music. When you go through enough it helps you to put yourself out there easier. Your care cup c[_] is empty about others' perceptions of you so you just go for it and with this man you get gems out of it.

The album version seems like they took the emotion out of the song. It's about Zoey Deschanel divorcing him because he's not pretty enough for Hollywood.

Aww man, this breaks my heart. Who knows why they ended their marriage, but if his lyrics are a clue, I'm guessing he still very much loved her when the divorce occurred and felt like he was being left behind. I hope his heart has healed. ❤️

Everyone chillax...the song is mourning for past love, but that doesn't mean he's crying at the end. Stop trying to contrive meaning from wiping some dust from your eyelids.
