Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence And leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage For what resembles rage again So if you love me, let me go And run away before I know My heart is just too dark to care I can't destroy what isn't there Deliver me into my fate If I'm alone, I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you My smile was taken long ago If I can change, I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me That savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light But all of that was ripped apart When you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not care I think I made it very clear You couldn't hate enough to love Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend Then I could hurt you in the end I never claimed to be a saint My own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won't listen to your shame You ran away, you're all the same Angels lie to keep control My love was punished long ago If you still care, don't ever let me know If you still care, don't ever let me know

This is my favourite version of Snuff. His voice, the emotions he transmits through his singing, the intensity he puts in every line, the crowd singing with him, the dim lighting. Its such a powerful performance. I just love this version so much.

14-years ago today we lost a great human being and bass guitarist in (#2) Paul Gray who formed the group Slipknot along with Corey Taylor that is still around and selling out every show they perform. Paul was only 38-years old and gone way too soon.😔 I was fortunate to meet Paul and Slipknot and he was truly a great human being with a big heart. Thanks to Paul Gray, his music and my thoughts and prayers are with him still to this very day.🙏💔 R.I.P... 4/8/72 - 5/24/2010...

It's like Corey gathered a thousand friends in a pub to vent his feelings. That's incredible support of the crowd and trust from Corey in his fans as friends. Celebrities tend to see their fans as something inferior, as mere sycophants and financiers, and even dangerous stalkers, but Corey visibly sees his fans as friends. Pure honorable personality.

I think it's because this intro is slightly different that the official album/single version. I can play the guitar (a bit) but i don't know the name of the first chord played here, or the name of the first chord played on the official version, but they are definitely not the same chord. This one is higher in pitch than the original. If it was the original chord that was played, they would have known instantly. Well, the die hard fans would have, anyway. I could name any Slipknot song for 1 piece of music before .5 The Grey Chapter. After Paul died and Joey was fired Slipknot were never the same for me. I'm looking forward to their new album, but i miss Paul and Joey so much! Joey is the person who made be obsessed with Slipknot. I was learning to play the drums and a friend gave me a Slipknot tape (yes, a cassette tape! lol). It was 1999 so the tape was their self titled album Slipknot. I was just blown away! And been hooked ever since! I met my GF through Joey and my 2nd daughter's middle name is Jo, names after Joey.

Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence, And leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage For what resembles rage again... So if you love me, let me go. And run away before I know. My heart is just too dark to care. I can't destroy what isn't there. Deliver me into my fate - If I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you... My smile was taken long ago If I can change I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not care. I think I made it very clear. You couldn't hate enough to love. Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend. Then I could hurt you in the end. I never claimed to be a saint... Ooh, my own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won't listen to your shame You ran away - you're all the same Angels lie to keep control... Ooh, my love was punished long ago If you still care, don't ever let me know If you still care, don't ever let me know...

This song powerfully and poignantly captures deep emotional experiences. The lyrics articulate painful feelings of loss self-denial, and relationship complexities There's a heaviness of the past and a struggle with inner demons felt in every line. The musical accompaniment amplifies the emotional weight of the words, making the song captivating and multifaceted. It speaks to the difficulty of accepting oneself and letting go of loved ones, especially when feeling unworthy of that love. This song leaves a profound impact and prompts reflection on the nature of human relationships and the influence of the past on the present. 😭

I see all of these comments of people taking their lives and wanting their loved ones to listen to this song and i believe every single word. I wrote these lyrics as my own in hopes my mom would find it. I was 15, i slit my wrist so bad i had to be airlifted to a hospital. I stayed at a psychiatric ward for 2 weeks there.,.my mom hated what i did. I was molested by my 5 year older sister and never said anything about that till about 5 years ago...i am 39 now. She didn't believe me...i still hurt and have anguish and problems in my now 15 year relationship with my person. I have survived so many suicidal tendencies and actions......fucking fight!!!! You are a soul that needs to be soothed! But not by dying ❤️ Open you to beyond what you think is you

My wife passed away on 6/10/23. This was always our favorite song you did. She had an amazing version on acoustic she'd play, when she could, it was very hard for her too. She had a very hard and tragic upbringing and this song just hits all those feelings. Thank you for this song. Thank you for those memories. We were lucky to see Slipknot for the first time, for both of us, the last time they played here in Seattle at Climit Pledge Arena. We knew you wouldn't play this song but you did and we swore you played it just for us. It was like no one else was there, just us 3. You're amazing Corey, if you ever see this, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This song has brought so many good memories and now I just cry when i try to listen to it. It's mostly happy tears. Much love from Seattle WA

This is a Very Touching, Beautiful, Painful Song. Seeing the pain in Corey's face and eyes hit me hard. I felt that pain once. I swore never again. My husband and I now have been together 11years. It was hard to see him leave the first time in 1988. We have known each other 36 years.

@@gypsy9415 are you a gypsy? Also, I’m sorry to hear that but happy for you that it worked out. So you’re with the same guy? He left you in ‘88 and u swore never again and then got back together? Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again... So if you love me, let me go. And run away before I know. My heart is just too dark to care. I can't destroy what isn't there. Deliver me into my Fate - If I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you... My smile was taken long ago / If I can change I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light But all of that was ripped apart... when you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not hear. I think I made it very clear. You couldn't hate enough to love. Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend. Then I could hurt you in the end. I never claimed to be a Saint... My own was banished long ago / It took the Death of Hope to let you go So Break Yourself Against My Stones And Spit Your Pity In My Soul You Never Needed Any Help You Sold Me Out To Save Yourself And I Won't Listen To Your Shame You Ran Away - You're All The Same Angels Lie To Keep Control... My Love Was Punished Long Ago If You Still Care, Don't Ever Let Me Know If you still care, don't ever let me know

Losing somebody is very tough, whoever it might be, lover, family, kids etc... That pushes me to stop interacting with people which pushes me to the isolation, feeling of loneliness. But that becomes even more difficult to deal with than dealing with the loss of somebody. What a vicious circle life is!
