Light should have bribed Sayu to be Matsuda's girlfriend maybe he wouldn’t have shot Light to death.

This scene makes me sad knowing that the family falls apart by the end by Light and Soichiro dying and Sayu being in a traumatized state that she might never recover from.

Sayu doesn't sound like a little girl when she talks anymore, she matured.

I want to believe that Light still genuinely cared about Sayu.

It's actually sweet that Misa was so gleeful and excited to greet Sayu. She was her fan when she first met Light, and now they're like good sisters. (I'd never ship Light and Misa, but still, Sayu and Misa's relationship is cute)

I thought of this huge, huge theory that after finally creating a Death Note sequel in the future, Ohba & Obata will surprise & spoil all of us fans by creating a whole detective new project called "New Note" where after one certain pairing's future daughter saves the world by rewriting the past & erasing memories & the creation of death notes at the cost of her life, everyone including the ones coming back to life are right back to where it all began except this time, no certain notebook for you all obviously know who to pick up & everyone is also a little different in personality while still having some of their same traits from DN. Sounds like an alternate universe, I know. Wanna know I'm shipping Sayu with? Mello! 🍫💑 So imagine in NN, Sayu bonds with Mello & then develops a crush on him while Mello would bluntly say that he would never fall for such a feathered brain girl. What if while Mello is often mistaken as a girl by others, Sayu will actually be the first person to have never thought he was a chick? Imagine Sayu always trying to find that soft spot in Mello & she'd always attempt to be a part of his life, helping him out. Then in the 5 year timeskip, Sayu is revealed to be even more in love with Mello who becomes protective around her & is revealed to have reciprocate her feelings after years of her wanting to be in his life no matter how much he tried to keep his distance from her, but he tries to hide them. Do you know what would be cute? Mello enjoying the sound of Sayu playing on her 🎸, Sayu taking a bite of Mello's 🍫 as an indirect kiss, & the two laying together on a bed with Mello putting his arm around Sayu💕. Also known what would be funny? If Matsuda were to be infatuated with Sayu just like in DN & gets jealous of Mello! 😆 & Now imagine in a the New Note epilogue that takes place in the future where everyone married with families of their own is all gathered for a very important event, the wedding of LightxMisa's 21 year old daughter & LxNaomi's 28 year old son, & in that epilogue, Sayu & Mello are revealed to be married & together, they have 2 sons, the oldest with short blonde hair, brown eyes, has Sayu's face & was born in 2013 (2016 in the anime), & the youngest with aqua eyes, looking like Mello except his hair is brown & was born in 2016 (2019 in the anime). So what do you fans think of that, especially for Sayu-Chan? 😉 Just imagine seeing the grown Sayu & Mello with their 2 handsome future boys in "New Note"! 💏👬 I really hope Ohba & Obata will plan all of this someday.😄
